Thanks, everyone. And congratulations, minstrel. I know you will do well. Can you believe I was turned down for the fire permit?
Today I was happy despite the day being uneventful. But hey?- a day in my life doesn't have to be action-packed in order to be enjoyable.
That's awesome. I'm heading to a writing conference tomorrow. I finished and printed out 2 opening pages and a query letter, made 17 copies and have them ready to go. I finished packing for my kids and myself for a trip to Florida on Saturday, and am almost finished packing for my conference that starts tomorrow. I'm pretty pleased with the day. Also, I can still walk, although with an air brace, so as long as my ankle does not get worse from it's sprain, I should be all set.
I just accepted a new position with a local school district. It's a sizable increase in pay (about 70%) and it's in the part of town I expect to buy a house in 2015. Great day!
Thanks Lemex. The best part is that now my wife will be able to stay home with the kids for another year.
I've just convinced a friend to accompany me on a trip to downtown Athens in the New Year. We're both writing about social and political upheaval, and should 'write what we know.' This can only go well
Finished the first week of my new job yesterday! and while we were at it, i found a senior manager there who liked metal (hooray for my patch jacket) and we won an "the apprentice" type thing with the product we were given
My friend bought me a Nerf gun for my 21 birthday and i couldnt stop laughing i mean those guns are awesome i checked some videos at youtube and we plan on making an arsenal
Today I've had an eventless but happy day nonetheless. I just got done watching a good and close auto race...this year's Indy 500. And later tonight, their's a NASCAR race I'll be watching.
Today I celebrated Memorial Day by volunteering at a local library that had a bake, plant, and book sale in order to raise money for the library. It was fun! I enjoyed helping out, as I helped set up and break down tables and chairs, and watched a parade they had in town that went right by the library.
My first full-time, permanent job starts on Monday and I've sorted moving into a house share! It's that time of the year where tennis tournaments are actually broadcast on TV so I can lust after Nadal. Plus, an aspect of my personal life is going well. LIFE IS GOOD.
