    I NEED THE 'NOT HAPPY' THREAD.

    I have to express my utter outrage at the authors begging total strangers to "crowd fund" their self-published novels, including a nine thousand euro payment for the authors for their "hard work".

    Seems to me you'd have to be somewhat established to get people to sign on, but more power to the author I say.

    If they're unknown, that doesn't surprise me. I've seen authors with existing fan bases pull off some nice Kickstarter campaigns for upcoming projects.
