    That's great!
Can you get your hands on Photo Shop? If so I would recommend learning that, it would show you a whole new way of creating your drawings, it would also come in handy for future work opportunities, especially if your interested in graphic design...or becoming a professional artist!

Not currently, I'll have to save up a bit for it. Thank you though!

I forgot to show you all this!
This was drawn by a girl on DA for me as a commission.
This is one of my book covers and is the house of Paddedpaw, the Aeromancy house.
The artist was amazing and actually drew this out by hand but then uploaded to PS to add all the details and colours, you can watch it on YouTube here:

    And here:

I really want 5 more made, if anyone knows another artist that can draw shields like this please let me know!
I need a version with a unicorn, Dragon, Jackalope, Kirin and Phoenix?

O-O this is coming of increasingly like a Harry Potter ripoff. Nice Gryffindor Paddedpaw Shield. At least there's not a snake, a raven and a badger.

I wasn't saying you did. I mean there was not going to be as many. Which is pretty much literally what I said. But whatever.

I am heavely influenced by the Harry Potter series, I think it's because I boarded for 5 years at my school just like Harry :D I have made up my own houses, (Gyffindor was a lion by the way not a Gryphon) although the name does sound similar :(
I wouldn't call it a ripoff just because I have an emblem for my house, all the house's in my school had an emblem shield, that's where J K Rowling got the idea from!

I was just agreeing with you, sorry if I offended you in some way?

No, you didn't offend me, I just felt your response wasn't exactly a response to what I said. I was talking about statistics and you talked about you being open-minded, which isn't really the same thing. I was talking about realism. But again, whatever.

I'm currently on vacation right now, so I don't have access to my workstation. I'll probably be able to when I get back.

I'd like to thank all of you for keeping this thread going. Every time I think it's dead, it comes back to life with more kickass artwork. Can't wait to see more!

Wow! And that was a couple of years ago?
Do you still think your characters look like that or are you going to change them? :)
Just curious as its been a while.

I think the most simple of drawings can become the most complicated, especially when they are incorporated into a story!
I don't like drawing, so I'm always impressed by other people's talents! Keep it up! :)

They are for a comic that I've finished already. They'd look different now since I've gotten more practice in, but I'm figuring out how to write instead now. I haven't drawn in about 6 months because my writing sucks and I'm focusing on that haha.
Sketching the characters for the book I'm going to write will be my reward one day, but for now i want to focus on one or the other :p

Granted just a sketch but I like it!

    @Auger
    What do ya think?
My girl made a nice point. Which is she learns metal magic and can move them with her mind. Or will be able to. I didn't specify what age she learns that truck yet.

The only thing that bugs me is the back-mounted machete. It seems like that would be hard to reach in a fight.

Well, I am not sure I agree.

I mean, originally I said she only had knives. The artist added that and I thought it was okay. Granted it isn't in the best possible draw slot for mid-battle, but like you said. It is a Machete, it isn't a quick draw nimble weapon. It is her heavy weapon. And it isn't like she needs to take her pants off. She can easily slide it off one handed. Heck, she could probably turn the draw into a slash, granted not a nimble fast slash, but a slash all the same.

Well, thing is. I can't draw. But these are my characters. I paid for the art.

This is another "Art" I tried to do. This co-national team is trying to pull some soldiers off the front lines who were accidentally targeted by a friendly artillery strike. It goes bad when one of the frightened soldiers kills one of the foreign advisers, and the team defends itself.

Oooh I want him! Just think all the training it would take though to teach the dog what to do.
