While shopping for items for my Kink Klinik makes me happy... This too makes me happy, but in a different way.
Bought a 3DS a while ago. I've been playing the remakes of OoT and MM. Got 100% completion on Majora, and unlocked the Master Quest version of Ocarina.
According to Duolingo, I'm now 11% fluent in Spanish. I doubt that, but I have learned a few things. Still, I'd like to eviscerate and exsanguinate conjugation with a rusty butter knife and a bicycle pump.
I just got a two year old I mac on ebay as a second chance offer (that is i was outbid but the highest bidder turned out to want the seller to ship it to nigeria or some shit) Pick it up tommorow so thats a happy so long as its as described.... means I'll be able to run vellum for my book formatting , and do photo processing on a bigger screen than my 12" laptop
Sounds like a scam. Make a bidder that keeps upping the price, and then when its over, sell to the second highest.
Could be, except I didnt - I chucked what i was willing to pay in there , like i always do, and someone out bid it - if it was a scam it didnt work so no harm done I very rarely competitive bid on ebay, I might chuck in 99p at the beginning just to eliminate a BiN , but after that I'm only ever going to bid what i'm willing to pay as a one off , if i get it great, if i don't meh plenty more fish...
Bought Dan Brown's 'Origin' t'other day, and I'm currently absolutely loving it. I have let my reading slack lately, but this has kickstarted it again
Well I has Imac , it is in as new condition, 18 months old, 21" screen I5 chip 8GB ram , includes the wireless keyboard and mouse .. It's currently running Yosemite but I'm going to update it to High Sierra ( the main reason I bought it is I want to use Vellum and that require El capitan or newer ) I would have preferred 16GB for using photoshop and indesign but other than that its pretty much ideal , and for £400 and change you can't really go wrong.
Although they hit a power line and (briefly) caused half the neighborhood to lose electricity, a tree service finally removed this large oak from the house behind us. The weight of the trunk was balanced uncomfortably toward our roof. In other news, I'm 19 this year. An adult legally, and almost fully developed. Thank Darwin
I am nearing the end of my blog series/study on Iambic Pentameter, only four more posts to go. While I am happy to be finishing it up by the end of the month, I am kinda sad at the same time.
I have the day off. Normally, I don't get federal holidays off, but my shift-cycle lined up to where my crew is on a training-week, and doesn't have anything especially important that we can't shift to the right. And I have motivation to write today. Success.
My boss surprised me by giving me the two weeks after his holiday off instead of just one as per our agreement. Oh man, how to spend that time?
Well, yesterday the Red Sox staved off elimination in the playoffs and get to play today, so that's cool. And I have my first day off in a week and get to watch the game, so that's cool too. They're not a particularly good team, but like Yogi said, it ain't over until it's over, so that's something. Oh, and I just stepped in dog poop with my bare foot, which wasn't so cool, but it made a cool sound and the look on my dog's face when I did it was priceless. I think he smiled, which makes me happy because I would do the same thing if somebody stepped in my poop, which hasn't happened yet, but the night is still young.
I got my grade for the class I taught last week. I got a 98/100. I'm pretty stoked about that because it is worth 20% of the final class grade.
Finally got my tax return. It's more than I expected. Significantly more. Covers the remainder of my student loan, three times over, plus change. I know money isn't everything, but to hell with it, I feel good about that. And I've been off nicotine for a week. Suppose that's also something to celebrate, but I don't feel quite as happy about that yet. Still in withdrawal, which is affecting my concentration and creative output something awful. And I'd do the most unspeakable things for a cigarette, but hey! Happy! This is great! Yes! Soon I'll feel like a person again, probably!
I got my copy of Star Surgeon by Alan E Nourse today. Unfortunately I have to finish the current book I am reading.
How's this for irony: If I type up a fan-fiction script with my characters from videogame RPGS, it feels a lot easier than typing up my own characters. Example, my characters from Skyrim: (HELGA TULLIUS... "So a Nordic savage and a Redguard drunk brings in a blind Breton girl for me to nurse. Hmph, and here I thought my life wasn't interesting enough." ULFGAR BONESHIELD "Quit with the wisecrack, Helga. This poor lass has been stabbed to Oblivion and back -- can you help her?" <Helga bends down to the ailing Marie Motierre. After a moment of examination, she rightens herself back up and faces the men.> HELGA TULLIUS "Well, she doesn't look too worse for wear. Especially considering you must've hoisted her around like a sack of grain. Fetch me the herbs and bandages, will you?" SHAJEEM <to Ulfgar> "Why are we doing this again?") Just pointing it out there.
Tbh the "lass" from Ulfgar sounds like he's Scottish or something. But if he's a Viking he'd be Norwegian, Swedish or Danish.
It's practically obligatory that the Breton one should go "hon hon hon". It doesn't even matter that Bretons were Celtic while the modern French language is derived from combining Latin with Gaulish influence. She still has to say it.
