Huh? Come again? WTF? Does that mean if you turn off the light, then the truth will scream and silence will shut up? Is there any research that backs this up?
This one caught my eye. Because lately ( these past 3 months especially great things have started to happen to me. It all started one day, the day I decided to start loving myself. Changed how I saw myself for the past 20. Maybe this quote shouldn't attract my attention. But it does. In part I believe, because I'm trying my best to improve. Open heart open mind. My personal mantra for anyone is "to be themself" I can only hope that they are trying there best to improve themself like I am. Fighting the good fight. Staying true like a strong oak in the forest standing tall against the harsh words of the forest's fire. Saying this. "Be what we want you to be." "Do what we want you to do." "Feel how we want you to feel." It's the shameful seductive voice said in a scream saying in the back of the ground "c'mon, see things my way." Im not saying that, I'm living that. I only hope that you see that. Please see that.
“Sometimes I think depression should be called the coping illness. So many of us struggle on, not daring or knowing how to ask for help. More of us, terribly, go undiagnosed.” - Sally Brampton
"In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." ~ Khalil Gibran When I first heard this (in an episode of Friends of all places) I wanted it to be a poem because it sounds so beautiful. Alas it's only a quotation. I don't know why that should matter, but it does.
Queequeg gave me to understand that, in his land, owing to the absence of settees and sofas of all sorts, the king, chiefs, and great people generally were in the custom of fattening some of the lower orders for ottomans; and to furnish a house comfortably in that respect, you had only to buy up eight or ten lazy fellows, and lay them around in the piers and alcoves. - Herman Melville, Moby-Dick

Ohhh isn't that a good idea though... a commune for writers here. Also I'm going to become a phlebotomist so if you need your blood drawn look no further. Look into my eyes.... mmmm good... look no further than me for your blood drawing and commune needs.
