@big soft moose "We have nothing to fear but fear itself. And spiders. Those are some creepy little motherfuckers." John F. Kennedy
All of my fears are pretty typical: homelessness, paralysis, hooded gun-toting lunatics that roam our streets at night. Who's not afraid of highly poisonous creatures like tarantulas and snakes? Or jungle cats that can tear apart animals twice their size? But my biggest fear is people. People kill for pleasure. People kill out of jealousy. And rage. People kill when they suffer from a mental illness that causes them to fear that another wants to harm them. People kill because they are under the illusion that they'll be rewarded some sort of paradise in the afterlife. And people kill indirectly when they pass on harmful contagion through towns and villages. Or just through blind stupidity, like drunk drivers. People take a lot of trusting before you can get to know them, and it is far too easy to make the mistake of trusting the wrong person. In conclusion, maybe strangers are my biggest fear.
One huge fear of mine is not truly making a real difference in life. Another is that Nick Saban will simply never retire. Though the biggest one of all would have to be Justin Bieber getting even more popular. That then making a mere fever become a fully blown epidemic.
Other more specific fears I have (which are rational but highly unlikely) are various ways of dying. Burning to death, drowning, being buried alive. These were probably brought on by having been in a near death experience at the hands of another person (and from having a darkly inclined mind).
That has got to be the coolest thing I have seen today!!! Dammit! There are no animated smilies that can express just how awesome this picture is!!!
I remember as a child being very frightened that somebody would break into my bedroom and kill me in my sleep. I told my sister this, and then concluded "but I've just realised that nobody would have any reason to kill me" and felt better. My sister's response was, "some people don't need a reason to kill." Good one, Big Sis. Very reassuring
