Today was election day in Sweden. The votes are being counted right now, and the result can be tracked real-time on the Election Authority's website. But the whole website has been down for an hour, probably because too many people tried to open it...

 

That Moment... That Fucking Moment... When you just realize how close you are to the end of your WIP Rewrite... Possibly second to last chapter, and most certainly a short epilogue

N0v. 28 was my deadline for the original Draft, then my WIP Rewrite... I am ahead of schedule.

So my Pre-Betas, almost there. Also, I may hand select a few people I want to ask to be Betas for me, when the times come. Though I won't lie, I haven't fixed the Tenses yet. It gets fixed near the end of the book.

 

That Moment.. you mimic your character spitting in someones face and accidentally spit on your computer screen.

...your parents say they went shopping for the storm that's on its way and the food they bought requires being cooked. The generator only has so much life in it if the power goes out.

At least they got water and cookies.

 

I'll be damned if I can't survive on cookies alone. What more do you need? Health and nutrition? Hah!

 

I like the enthusiasm of cookies and I like cookies! But, as someone who follows a certain diet, they could have at least gotten me Spaghetti-Os or something! They did get me veggie bacon...but still... Lol!

 

There's genius in the madness. It means you get to live off cookies!

 

She only got me four! And I already ate one! XD

So they're the ones who bought the storm? And had it delivered? Are they nuts?

I hope they got lots of charcoal, too. Good stuff to have when there's no electricity and food to cook.

 

I try to keep a small butane stove with extra fuel for emergencies. Less mess than charcoal and I pretend it's less likely to murder me with carbon monoxide, too.

ETA: Carbon Monoxide is probably less of a problem down south and in the summer, but up here there are generally a few deaths caused by it when the power goes out and people try to stay warm using hibachis. So, you know, at the very least if you need to, be careful and make sure there's some fresh air coming in somewhere.

 

It's downright rude, I tell you!

My dad always has charcoal and I know he has no issues grilling in nasty weather. He's grilled in blizzards, tornadoes, and hurricanes in the past.

I would also wager they're nuts.
