I woke up today crazy early, but the sun hadn't come up yet. When I went outside to open the door to the chicken coop, it was just starting to rise and it was absolutely beautiful as it turned the world a slate grey. It's very cloudy and wet here and that makes for some of the best mornings. This week is going to be great with storms in the forecast for the next seven days.
I want to see the part where the hedgehog pops the inflatable, sending it shooting off into the distance.
Another happy: my fanfic keeps getting kudos even though I haven't updated in forever. I should probably update it. Also, my FB memories are filled with my first foster puppies! They were so cute and squishy!
As I turned back toward the house after taking the trash out tonight, the across the street neighbor's cat ran to me at top speed, meowing, and the next door neighbor's dog ran up to me wagging his tail. Made my day! Dogs are easy, but when a cat gets up from lounging and runs across the street to see you? Priceless!
It wanted something. Cats do not show affection for any other reason. Have you considered it wanted to murder you?
Well, well... I am over 100k WC in my WIP.... not quite finished, but it's been a hell of a ride. I am currently adding a new scene. for the end. I hope it's cool.
Getting some help today with all the packing.....hurt like hell to accept said help, but its faster this way. >_>;
I was able to afford Scrivener today, thanks to a friend, and I managed to write 1,500 words! I haven't written in "Fate" in a long time and it felt good to get back to exploring him and Sacha.
Update: After all that anxiety, it was for nothing! Didn't get called in until 3.30pm (had been waiting since 10.30am), and we ended up with another Interim Care Order until December. Turns out my legal team are actually pretty good! They are applying for a certificate to have an independent Parenting Assessment done on me, and the SWs were content because they won't be paying for it! My ex wasn't there initially which helped immensely. Then just before lunch my Advocate came to me to say he's on his way from Knock Airport (over 1hr by car, and at least 2.5hrs by bus)! I happened to pass him in the corridor later, but he didn't appear to see me. I then hid in the local cafe with my Advocate until lunch was over. Went back into court, and my ex had gone. Such a relief! Now, I have 3 months to find some friends, get my benefits, move and perhaps take a parenting course for good measure. All in all a pretty good day. Now I can (hopefully) sleep again!
@flawed personality Just tell them all about your friends on these forums! I'm sure they'd acce- Wait... Maybe don't tell them about us... Would probably hurt your chances... In all honesty, I'm happy everything was resolved and I'm sure you'll do just fine!
Yes, there are a few hundred reasons that I haven't told my legal team, my daughter's guardian or the SWs about the fiends friends I met on here...
A Fairy and a unicorn named billy once walked into a hospital..... Sounds like the start to a bad joke.... haha. But still, made me smile a bit. Also, those little booties are nice. Wonder if they come in my size?
I got my classroom assignments for the year, and I'm in the same room for every lesson, every day of the week! I know this is kind of a "first-world anti-whinge," but having to travel across campus every lesson, and occasionally getting mixed up and walking into a room with a whole sea of unfamiliar student faces in it is just a pain in the ass. Did I mention that it's very conveniently located to most of the important bits of the school? Score a very specific one for Iain!
