We don't have the Jello brand, so we don't have that name. I guess we're just more casual about our preserves than you guys. Spoiler Although I'm sure there are connoisseurs of the various fruity jams/jellies/conserves/marmalades/preserves that exist.
Well, well, it's done... Kristol of Ancea is finished (Or at least the Rewrite is), took me 9 months 19 days with some of those being dead days where I didn't even touch the story due to work or writers fatigue. But... it's finished. Final Word count (with or without some touching up, and clearly not the final, final): 110,242 . Prologue, four parts, epilogue. 23 chapters (including Prologue and Epilogue), 110 scenes (including Prologue and Epilogue). And a shit ton of characters. LOL. at least 100 or more. Now, Beta Time and Revision. . Got my PDFs, everything is set up in Google Docs...
Last year I set up a Raspberry Pi to run as a Minecraft server to play on with my nephew. Today I looked on the SD card, and found a copy of my Minecraft save. Exactly how I left it. I'm so happy
My parents bought me a new set of arrows. . It's a pretty aluminum set that looks like wood with the prettiest feather fletching! I'm so excited! I'm going to try them tomorrow.
Nice! I was just playing Minecraft on the switch On an old hard drive of a dead computer, I hopefully have my original Minecraft File from when it was an alpha. When I bought the game for $14 and didn't know what the fuck I was doing LOL So I have it on my PC, my PS4 and my switch!
I was going to get it for Switch too, but I really love the world I’ve built on my Mac and would want to be able to import it. I was gonna take the opportunity to migrate over when I lost my save, but now I’ve found it I don’t want to again
Oh, and in the US traditionally preserves has (have? It's technically singular...) much larger pieces of fruit. Usually whole berries, or halves of small pears or something...but preserves you buy at the supermarket are more like what we call jam.
Well, spent most of the day playing Minecraft. . Felt it was a well earned reward. Also, finished editing the Prologue, fixing my structure, catching my Tenses for fucking once, Thanks @big soft moose , I think I am getting them now. . Hopefully making it all flow better. Naturally I am using Google Docs for the Editing, that way I can do so anywhere. My goal is to do at least one chapter a day, unless the chapter is short... though I am sure there will be days where I will do multiple chapters. But at least once a day, no exceptions. All I have to do is read and edit. And hopefully I will be done by mid-October. Then Betas . Except for those who already have access to my WIP. .
When I got to walk past something similar to this the other day, it made me very happy. I stopped to take it in. ETA: It wasn't a competition I witnessed. It seemed to be a musical tribute for a remembrance of some sort. It was outside a Cathedral in the town.
I just finished Chemo for a second recurrence of cancer and now all I have to do is maintenance treatment every three weeks. And the maintenance treatment is not chemo based so not isn't toxic to my system.
The steroids I was given by the Drs to fight the flu that has been kicking my butt recently have kicked in fast, and I'm fit to go to work tomorrow. Whilst the work side of things probably belongs in the Not Happy Thread, i'm glad to be feeling better again!
I have Wednesday and Thursday off! The storms are over, the tornado did less damage than it could have (and people are banding together to help one another), and it's supposed to be sunny the next few days! My dad made it safely home yesterday, too. Lots of happy the last couple of days and things to be grateful for. Shit may have been happening the last couple of days and not everyone came through, but my area is being reslient and supportive. It's kind of nice to see after what keeps appearing on the news here.
I didn't mention it here, but on Thursday I got a pushy, unsolicited sales call from a guy trying to give us ink for franking machines. I reported it to Citizens Advice that night, highlighting some other concerning behaviour noted on Trustpilot. Citizens Advice noted they will be passing the information on to Trading Standards. To add icing to the cake, I got a reply signed as the director's office saying they'll investigate it internally.
Today's happy: 1. I'm going to practice archery with my dad for the first time in 11 years. 2. I think I've found my story idea for an anthology I'm interested in submitting to.
Another chapter down! It's amusing to go back and read what I wrote, to see where my MC started and the progress she makes. And I have to admit, I am enjoying what I wrote!
Saw my legal team today and we've drawn up a plan (although I forget now what it was!). Also, finally booked a Dr's appointment for Friday.
Well this gave me a few good laughs. https://lifestyle.clickhole.com/13-...in&utm_campaign=SF&utm_medium=SocialMarketing
A few nights ago I got high and an idea for a story came to me. I promised myself I would remember, but of course I didn't. I smoked a little last night, and the idea came back, with even more detail. And I can still remember it this morning. Time to make some notes
This is just your type of humour. I can imagine you having written something like this. I did laugh at some of them, I admit.
