Nimbus here. Hello to ya'll. Been reading since i was seven, writing since about 3 - 4 months ago. I publish my works on RoyalRoad, a free to read platform. I don't write to the tropes or what's deemed normal. I write what others haven't. And i love it.
I went and read some, it reminded me both of Robert Jordan and Stephen King. But they don't write to tropes either, so I guess you're right There are some surprisingly decent reads there
