No need! There's a guy named Ian who locates mandolin strings in the middle of Austin... Spoiler: For those who are lost... It's a line from the movie This is Spinal Tap. I couldn't find a clip so this explainer will have to do. During a heated discussion with the band, their manager Ian tries to prove his worth by outlining some of his duties including, "I locate mandolin strings in the middle of Austin!" ...which, before the Internet, would've taken perhaps five minutes due to Austin's prolific folk and country music scene.
Just woke up and I feel a little lonely. Juuust a little . I should go out and do schoolwork at a coffee shop or something. I just might...
Finding out that you can have a negative IQ and still make YT vids, and people with slightly higher negative IQ will consume that tripe.
I just spent 45 minutes cataloging new inventory into our computer system. Then I spent an hour and a half trying to figure out where I screwed up. My running total was about $150 higher than the invoice total and I had about $80 worth of hardware on back order. I'm happier when this shit has to be done on days when I'm not here.
Thinking about 6 months ago to the day, when I took a chance by confessing my interest in a certain person. I had no idea what could or would come of doing so, but I am so glad that I did. I owe a lot to @PoemNerd212 for giving me the confidence to do so. Without her, I may never have acted on my feelings, and I would've missed out on so much as a result. Whilst I feel I have learnt a lot from being here, and have grown in many ways too, I would not be as happy as I am now without my amazing man in my life. He has done so much for me, and changed my world for the better in so many ways. I am eternally grateful to have him in my life, and to be so lucky to be loved by him too. Even after all this time, I still have trouble believing it. Spoiler I love you @Cave Troll .
I got it figured out. There was a memo I never received about someone from one of our other stores coming by to pick up some stuff they put in with my hardware order because they didn’t want to drive the extra miles to deliver it to the appropriate store and I entered the items into our inventory. Remove the stuff meant for the other store and it was all spot on.
I'm wondering whether to have dinner. If I don't have dinner, I have an excuse to go out for breakfast tomorrow. There's a restaurant nearby that serves a terrific breakfast - either eggs benedict or chicken fried steak; I love them both. (They have other breakfasts, but those two are my favorites.) But if I have dinner, I won't be hungry enough in the morning for one of those huge breakfasts. What to do? What to do? This should probably go in the first-world problem thread.
A bit of light snacking to keep your blood sugar stable, but not enough to be well fed. Ride the edge and you will be sufficiently hungry in the morning.
I am sitting here with dog chewed arms, trying to type even though it hurts because I'm so angry at my husband for not putting our aggressive dog down years ago. It has bitten several people and I missing huge chunks now out of my arms, having had several stitches and drainage tubes put into my forearms. It attacked me this morning when I went to go do laundry. I can't sleep because I see it biting me when I close my eyes.
I feel like an appropriate response right now is to break his nose, but I may be wrong. Hope you get feeling better.
