Round about 1981 - but nobody knew what 'hobo' meant. I assumed 'dog.' And probably secret viewing what with the programme's sensitive nature. Probably why I'm sensitive. I was trying to recall US/Canadian telly of the time - Sesame St, of course. Muppets which I hated, and as an expat child in Iran endless re-runs of the 3 Stooges. Cartoons of course - Scooby Doo to Tom & Jerry.
