Not to beat this to death, but I'm gonna take that video and Aschendale fanfic it. Notice the way her eyes dart back and forth at about 0:27? She's questioning herself. He didn't do enough to warrant a scream, but when she looked at him, was she leading him on? She knew, she knew she shouldn't have dressed so provocatively when traveling alone, and her mother had told her that the perfume made her smell like a whore...

Saving the rest for later, but watch it with the right eyes and you'll see where we're going.

Getting my basement work space all nice and tidy and enjoying my morning. Got up good, didn`t dolly as much had a quick eggs and toast breakfast. Quite enjoying my work-space down here, isolated, comfortable enough to work in but no place to take a nap, and I have hidden a box of lil Debbie brownies down here as well. Just waiting to listen to my conference stream and work on things.

With the summer trip already set, a friend of mine pointed me in the direction of a really neat Youtube channel - ADVChina.

Its two foreigners living in China, riding around or eating food whilst talking about what China is really like. Ya know, as opposed to what we all hear in the news and such. I found their content to perfect to both listen to in the background, or watch and enjoy the scenery. Great find. Both men have their own channels as well, Serpentza and Laowhy86.

That aside, since I have the day off, I'll be going to the gym to practice some free-style today and then have a blast at the new years party after some business stuff.

$20 worth (<---inflation) of sexual harrassment thoughts.

This is what I've noticed regarding human nature in both genders when experiencing bad or unwanted behaviour or words (B-W) from others.
Also based on insights about myself as I had a doormat persona for decades.

I suppose I'm a pasifist. I have no need or desire to inflict pain on others, but it took me decades to understand I can still defend myself, which can include aggressive means and I may have to inflict damage onto the other who just won't back off.

Intentionally harming others who've done nothing wrong to you...bad; defending oneself...good.

Wasn't aware you're not an asshole for standing up for yourself and saying no to others. Wasn't aware I have the freedom and right to ask folks to not do things to me that go against my personal preferences. (subject to various elements within each situation as poor old SJWs and PCers have mutated this concept into a cringefest insane landscape)

    1. If you don't say something, the offender will conclude their B-W are okay. Simple as that, and they'll keep doing it.

    2. Often folks aren't aware their B-W are offensive or unwanted. Many folks simply lack the social skills and understanding regarding what's acceptable\unacceptable, reinforced when folks don't express disapproval, while some are just flat out intentional creeps.

Feedback: Some folks learn from it, some don't. But you don't know what each person is like if the feedback isn't shared.

    3. Folks controlled by fear, dreading the repercussions of standing up for themselves, even the simple thing of jokingly being mocked or criticised as being too sensitive, or you're the one with the problem, can create a fear to not declare your boundaries.

    4. Honesty, courage and being secure in your convictions are the keys. Don't jokingly dismiss it if you're actually upset. This sends the wrong message. Can be interpreted by the dingbat that you actually enjoy the sexual tennis match. Express yourself exactly as you think and feel. Declare who you are to others, no benefit in being ashamed to do this.

    5. Narcissism: It's far more infused into human nature than I ever thought.
Many folks simply can't understand why you're upset or offended. They're unable to consider a reality beyond their version of it, and\or if they consider it, it's judged as wrong, you're wrong.

    6. Immaturity: Kids naturally have a "I'm the centre of the world" perception. Immature adults haven't grown beyond this and treat others as play toys to do with as they desire in their world, and some will harrass you till you comply, and of course, like a child, will have a hissy fit when they don't get their way.

Wearing flip flops in February! 60 degrees on Federal Hill... should be two feet of snow on the ground by now. Perhaps the end is indeed nigh.

Camping in the bathroom and talking to the laundry basket since that's where my new adopted cat has chosen to hide (because everything in this apartment is out to kill her, obviously).

I was reading. If you twitter @GarthGreenwell it links to his New Yorker story. It was okay, I'm just tapping here in a haze of relief I didn't send that cleverass crit to his account, thank god. It was very MFA, it was brilliant - relative to my fart joke story...OR, I might suggest - this is what's confusing me - it was so 'genre' in the earnest observation, 'literary.'

    Feel better now.

Wondering if I broke my leg. Not actully but I just slipped and fell onto concrete floor not two seconds ago that was fun. Doing some writing things than settling in for a night of photo editing and maybe baking. The conference streams were very interesting, very motivated.

Are there any truths about only one in a hundred pics is good. What do you edit? More curious, ever do morphing? What apps do you favor?

Working on my resume so that I can start applying for jobs in my area. I need to do something part-time while I'm doing a cyber security course.

Wondering about doing that vlogging thing I've heard so much about. :superthink:

Though I don't know what to ramble about, or if it is even a good idea...

I have a wordpress blog and I honestly just ramble about whatever I feel is worth talking about. I'm planning on putting short stories up regularly for this year.

From whom? That's really outdated advice. And what are view counts and subscriber count of these magic elixer YouTube channels? Seriously, CT, I hate for someone to waste your time and efforts.
I wouldn’t. Done wrong, it can hurt more than help. And if someone is at all thin-skinned, YouTube is not anything they should even consider. YouTube commenters are notoriously brutal.

YouTube is an entire endeavor in itself.YouTubers are now competing with YouTubers who have hundreds of thousands to 1 million subscribers. And those YouTubers have pro lighting setups and editing software, and have been to YouTube workshops and conferences to learn how to do it properly. They also have business managers who seek out endorsements and partnerships.

At this stage of the game it would be really hard to get traction unless you have some sort of unique talent that would be worthy of presentation on regular TV.

I watch a fair amount of YouTube and subscribe to seven channels. Here's a modestly successful (not currently Trending) YouTuber. If you think you can compete for eyeballs with this, go for it. If not, your efforts are likely best directed elsewhere:

ETA: As for what I'm doing...ugh. Trying not to be ill, or wishing I would be. I'm not sure which. I accidentally ate something I'm allergic to at dinner. Ugh......

No one, just thinking is all. Not actually seeking anything from it,
just kinda wondering what it would be like is all.
