Been spending more time with my watercolor pencils lately. Jumping between animals and portraits. Both my boys have suffered for it...
Don't know the top one, but I think the bottom is named Ethel. I had a drink with her in the Brussels airport bar on my way to Istanbul in '98. Nice lady, but don't let her into the gin.
Bear with me... several photographs of mine... I have not taken very many with my new camera (we have not traveled and the mid west in winter is not that pretty!)
Went into town on Saturday. In preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, there's a big push to put up more English signage.
In Japan, the real question is "How porn are the porn DVDs?" Pixellation isn't legally mandated, just an industry agreement. And there are some other things that are allowed here* that, well, aren't elsewhere. But they have to be pixellated. *link is to a satirical article from The Onion, but the descriptions may not be SFW. As always, check with HR first!
This park is situated at a quite desolated peak of a mountain, right outside of an old, godforsaken sanatorium. It rules! We might roll a short horror film there.
It certainly looks worthy of a horror flick. A good place to go at night and make out and get drunk... and hope you wake up in the morning with just a hangover... and not a knife in your back.
Backstabs are minor concerns when it comes around this time of year. (If we want the fog, we shouldn't delay). Frostbites are a motherfounder though.
Thought this church looked kinda creepy at night. Started imagining the face of some long-dead orthodox monk in a bushy beard peering through the bell tower window...
Been trying to go a bit more illustraty and cute with my pencils - and ended up with three animals. An anteater, a beaver and a cheetah... wonder what those fellows have in common! Also started a proper, no tearing out papers, sketchbook! I've never done that before. If I only had done this back when my mother wanted a children's book illustrated (I think not working together with my mother is safer, though...)
Got bored playing on Pinterest, this is what I have done in the aftermath. A made up Death Metal Band Started by Nuns.
