The smell of gasoline. I know, not really nerdy, but something about it I find pleasing at the pump.

Burning metal, welding electrodes, and cut-off wheels. Basically what a steel fabrication shop reeks of. Probably not the healthiest things to be putting in my lungs, but I really can't help but linger when it's around. Also not terribly nerdy, either.

Pulling out and reading the book from a new video game. Though they don't really have those anymore, which is BS. I do not want your glossy card stock insert.

This just brought back memories of Neverwinter Nights with it's lovely spiral bound instruction manual, printed cloth map, and postcards. Now to get that kind of swag, you have to pre-order games at three times the cost, receive half the stuff you were promised and are left with a broken game.

I was on a team that was developing a Thieves' World mod for Neverwinter Nights until we received a cease and desist order from Lynn Abbey's lawyers :/

That's a shame. The mods and DLC were generally way better than the vanilla story line.

And to add on to my nerdy collection I have growing...i got this today in the mail and I'm ecstatic. I'm a Halo nerd through and through. Not ashamed at all, and I'm happy that the large book series is actually pretty awesome too.

Sometimes you have to let out the inner super nerd. I want all the ships!

I guess it's a pleasure: as an old DOS hand, I still limit file names to eight characters or fewer, no spaces. I also regularly delete emails, texts and unused files to 'save storage space', even though I've never come close to filling up the Gb on current devices. My first computer had 1K of memory, and the 'hard drive' was a cassette tape recorder.

I’d say nerdier than normal , But not too bad.

I have a pen collection, multiples of some if they stop making them.
Bic click stick, skillcraft gov, and recycled version.
    Pilot better retractable.
Was into “high end “ ones, but they get stolen.
Also like only memoranda note books

Hot wheels collection 80 out of about 200 are displayed, grouped by color.

I make candle holders (tea candles) holders are made from mostly found parts. Candle light may be nerdy to some, until they try it. Yes by myself also.

Uranium Glass Collection!! It’s odd, and cool. Have about 10 pieces that actually get used.

Also do circuit building mostly synths, circuit bending but not recently.

Nerdy? Maybe to some. I’m not worried what others think anymore.

I used to have a... uhm... pipe made from uranium glass that someone made for me. I probably smoked from it at least twice a day for upwards of a couple of years and I still don't have cancer.

Dapper, that’s super cool. I’m on the hunt for odd useable things. Such as: Fish bowl, shot glass, baby bottle, oil lamp, a platter, and a “piece pipe”

I love writing in pen in notebooks, too. Preferred pen: Uni-ball Signo DX, 0.28mm or Pilot G-Tec-C 0.25 mm. I like very fine point pens. Notebooks: Leuchtturm1917 size A4 Plus, or Sigel Conceptum A4. I sometimes use the A5 sizes of these when I want something more portable. I also use Moleskine hardback little notebooks (3 5/8" x 5 9/16") because they're pocket sized and I never go anywhere without one.
