No. I recently got halfway through a book by a well-known author when I encountered the second instance of mistaking 'they're' for 'their'. I understand this is caused by spellcheckers these days, but I stopped reading anyway.
Well somebody else has decided to join the 'why so many bad books on amazon' discussion. Though it still pisses me off that it is basically the YT of books now-a-days. https://www.helpingwritersbecomeauthors.com/why-do-so-many-bad-stories-sell-on-amazon/

This day just keeps getting better. Job A decided to put little dollar store locks, Denver Boot-style, on all the bicycles they suspected were abandoned. Now, since my bike is a little pricy (just a little, it ain't a brag) and I paid for it with my own money, I park in on the end of the bicycle parking that's distant from the buildings so that it doesn't get knocked over and have yet more spokes broken. But since it wasn't in the pig-scrum of $70 three-speeds, it must be abandoned, right? So that's one walk across the campus to the bike rack, one angry walk back, then a walk to the other side of campus accompanied by a flustered secretary to where they were making students sign for their "abandoned" bikes, followed by the walk all the fucking way back to the bike racks, followed by a high-speed ride in 28 degree weather to Job B.
I'll bet the only person less happy was the flustered secretary who had to deal with the wrath of Iain.
I was polite, but my body language may, possibly, maybe just given away a teensy tiny little bit of ABSOLUTE RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmm, I'm in a position to make that happen. The band, that is. A whole bunch of us talentless idiots (me and my other seven Facebook accounts) banging our heads on empty Hormel Chili tins.....
Had to cut out all future college courses because of work for an indefinite amount of time. The pressure and overtime has been cutting in too much and it's an impossibility to continue school simultaneously. It's disappointing, but work takes precedence. Too good of a job to leave.
Just spent 2 hours trying to program a new keyless entry pad for my garage door (the old one bit the dust), went through all the steps umpteen times, even talked on the phone with my friendly garage door installer guy, who patiently worked with me a bit, then brushed me off by saying he "had to scoot." I finally called the manufacturer, got on with very nice, competent, friendly, and helpful person who guided me through several options until we found one that worked. I can't ultimately complain, I guess, but if there are going to be complications they should say so on the instructions rather than showing only one way to skin that cat (if that way won't skin every cat). Because it didn't work and I'm not the first one with the problem. But at least I moved from me feeling incompetent to blaming them, and the door now opens. That's something I suppose. But that's two hours I won't see again. I suppose this also might fit under 1st world whinging.
This is my life as a technician/engineer with electron microscopes. Infinite irritation with halfway put together or erroneous documentation.
Hate my body Hate that I'm so shy Hate that I can never talk to people how I want Hate that I have to stay in the closet from my family until I'm 18 Hate that I have regrets Hate that I spend more time im my head than I do with people Hate that I've almost turned the few friends I have against each other many times Hate that I made my friend cry Hate that I want to have someone elses life Hate that I want to have someone else's body Hate that I can't go a full day without feeling depressed Hate that I hate
I mean, I can get it fixed, and I do have a spare -- it just sucks since it was at the end of a very long, stressful day. >:[
I know the feeling, got glasses first when I was five and I'm pushing fifty now. Lotta broken lenses and frames in that period.
Looks like a popped screw. I tend to keep a couple of repair kits around for that reason. Worst part is getting the tiny bastards back in without your glasses. A spot of Loctite on the threads can also stop them from working their way out for good. Good luck.
I got emailed some coupons for America’s Best today... http://i.americasbest.com/Images/AB/AB0064/CPN125/index.html?date=20190404
I do have a not happy, well, more of a sad thing, but I'm still processing it atm. I will likely do a blog on it some time when I have some energy (i.e: Not today).
