    Facepalms awaaaaaay !

So yesterday it was coming up to 8am, was getting dressed in me riding gear for the return trip after dropping ute off at mechs. As I'm doing this me spider senses start tingling..."You should confirm the appointment day, it's good practice to double check."
So I did, it clearly says Teusday, not Monday...what the hey...

Dammit Margerie, Sunday I spent a long time loading up the ute with stacks of wood and the 2 hardened 20kg bags of cement in pleasant mild drizzle, then at the end of the day, after remembering a mech appointment was soon, and checking me fone calender I saw I had mechs on Monday, so I joyfully facepalmed and unloaded it all.
(I even had Monday attached long ago to me notice board, so that's twice I read me calender wrong)

Then I facepalmed again on Monday as I had to reload the ute again. Thought about reloading for Wednesday as heading onto village for writer's group, but it's wise among the rainy season to get your shit done when there's a dry spell.

So, just like Floor, where the blue blazes was me spider senses on Sunday when I read me calender wrong (twice)?

However, one of the positives from this harrowing ordeal...
I snagged this at the tip on Monday(it arrived late Sunday arvie)...

    - I also hit the postoffice for 4 more vid cards and me Suntour crankset (this one is correct).
    - Then hit the library to copy a stack of health articles from me mags, for a friend.

Had a moment with one of the female librarians.

The Hi-tech copier is no longer behind the counter though I was unsure if staff still did the work or the brain-dead public can now do their own copying. Just as I inquired she came over but was slightly taken aback that I requested some basic training. She lovingly obliged and as her tutelage was coming to an end I remarked proudly,
    "I'm a big boy now!"
She thought that was quite funny...as did I.

Which reminds me of another moment with a female in me village last week.

Last time I was at the hardware I had to buy another plastic watering can for the creek pump as the previous one from them died waaaay too early due to sun damage, so I snagged the same brand I use for me ute, which is still powering on just nicely thankyou very much indeed.

As I was checking out the two good brands and finding one that has the least amount of sharp edges, I notice one is wet on the inside, no puddle in the bottom but the sides were too wet just from condensation, plus no other cans were wet...odd I though, I shall inquire and\or share my fascination about this oddity.

I did and the young lady was intrigued and did mention the place leaks all over the place. I added I've not seen any water on the shelves...she had no other explanation. I offered the possibility of the watering can was sad for not being picked, for sitting on the shelf for who knows how long.
She liked this and added, "Crying on the inside", and we both laughed.

Perhaps increase your knot tying skills or are you intentionally letting time run free?

Definitely mech day today. I've been up since 1am testing latest batch of cards, feedbacking sellers and shit.
It's now 6, it's been drizzling all morning thus I doubt I'll be riding back on me treadlee, unless the drizzle is mild as it turns out riding in mild rain is youthfully fun...as long as it's warm enough.

    Noon:
    - Now resting due to sore back from leaning over too muchings.
    - Raining all day. Creek is half way towards flooding...YAY !
    - Picking up ute tomorrow in time for writer's group.
    - Been doing more tiding up of tool room.
    - Cut some bases out of thick wood and grabbed some dry bricks from the carport to raise stuff that'll sit on the concrete floor.
    - Tightened up the screws on the new shelves and secured it to the back corner.
    - Filled it with puta parts, spray paint cans, treadlee stuff.
    - Removed all various items off thin shelving I made and mounted between exposed wall studs many moons ago. Cleaned 'em all down and reorganised item placement.
    - Packing taped a bunch of small cardboard boxes for storage of items, now all packed away under benchtop.
    - Washed a bunch or 2 litre ice-cream containers for more storage.

So space ! Much wow! Still got a day's worth to do and I'm somewhat confused 'cus I now got 80% (used to have 20) free space to place stuff and the vast options are messin' with me head.

    Both cats in me room.
Longshanks came in a long time ago. Sleeping in me chair.
Hunter's been in multiple time and just came in again, sadly complaining about the rain.
His expression is a blend of being pissed off, bored, frustrated and forlorn.
    Poor widdle kitty.
Longshanks is the opposite, he could laze around the house for the rest of his life and remain content.

    LUNCHABLES !!!

Zonked out at 1am, got up at 4. It's now 8am, the sky is totally clear, no wind, but when I opened to door to find out, the cold playfully but intensely slapped me across my face. It seems the cold has missed me as much as I during these warm rainy days.

Will be riding into the village to get me ute, grab some warm takeway and hit writer's group. Then maybe go for a test thrash over The Sidling to see what the solid engine mounts feel like, grab some groceries and a coffee and fone chat with an online bike store about some of their road tyres for me treadlee.

    And away I go!

    Guess what happened...go on...guess.
Yep, read the calender wrong again.

I hit the village at 9:30, half ride so I went hard but still only managed 1:01, due to cold me thinks. Pay mech, quick chat, both mounts sheared completely in half. Grab some takeaway, drive home in hard mode to test mounts, soo nice...no vibrations like some tossers claimed, change and grab all me gear for writer's group, too bulky for the backpack to bring a change of clothes for such a cold day. Head back into village, grab some fuel, I rock up to the library and can't find the group, there was mention of moving to the civic centre or whatever the hell those places are called. I leave an email with our glorious leader to see where the new location is, then I check me calender, the last wensdee is the 31st...next week, not the 24th.

    FUUUUUUAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Now sittin' in me ute havin' a cafe coffee and checking in with online bike shop.
The library has many free courses on various subjects, the majority computer skills related. I may rock back over to and see if they have any on basic calender skills.

    - Got up at 1am. Longshanks curled up tight against my lower back, amazed me back aint sore as I tend to accomodate the munchkins, even in me sleep.
    - Picked up 3 vids cards yesterday, test them now, make a coffee then hit the book.
    - Cleaned out the chimbly flute and tophat yesterday arvie when I arrived home from village...severely clogged with volcanic ash.
    - No hooning over The Sidling till I do oil change and front brake pads as I noticed front left had a slight grating sound every now and then. Don't wanna damage the expensive DBAs. Got a spare set of oem pads in the carport.

Wondering is good, but even better, you could just ask, but of course, asking doesn't guarantee an answer or a response, but you never know unless you try,
and in today's closed-offness among our species, often folks struggle to be the first to strike up a convo or get a matter sorted by taking initiative, thus, generally speaking, folks tend to join in when you lead by example or start the proceedings.

I've noticed the amount of quality convos I have, be they short or long, are in proportion to the level of initiative I take. Sure, some folks are having a busy day or life, thus honestly don't have time to address everything that comes across their plates, but being a positive open and friendly person will mean most folks add you to their "to do list"...not that kind of 'do', but if you like them in that way...bonus, yes?

And with all that said, alas, I haven't ventured over to the section to read anyone's works...I simply have too many things on my plate already and I'm not a fan of multitasking. I notice the quality of my efforts dimishes the more things I'm doing, so I consciously restrict myself from things I would like to immerse myself in.

Setting up my computer and deep cleaning the apartment.
I should be going to sleep soon so I won't fall asleep during work tomorrow, but the apartment need to be spotless on Sunday... so...

I hope that my irritating co-worker will be at the other machine for another day so I can have some peace tomorrow. It's the closest thing I can get to a vacation in over a months time.

I’ve been analyzing the documents and pictures recovered from Dylann Roof and his now-defunct personal site after the Charleston Massacre in 2015. I’m building a report on his ideology, and the damage it wreaked. Won’t quote his writing here, but it’s exactly the maniacal level of anti-black blood hatred you’d expect, coupled with some very nasty (though less race-fueled) antisemitic paranoia, and the usual white supremacist contempt for Hispanic people, gays, Muslims, leftist whites, feminists, American media outlets, and modern America as a whole. In short, vile shit, like the rest of the supremacist movement. His defense team in the federal case attempted to construct an insanity defense based on apparent depression, supposed delusional thinking, and supposed autistic qualities, though Roof actively torpedoed their attempts to characterize him as anything but a violent racist. However, if he really does have some form of autism, it’s difficult to articulate the level of disdain I feel toward him (being autistic myself).

Gathering data on several other killers from that ideological banner, too. As far as US domestic terrorism goes, it’s actually not uncommon for white supremacists (and related far-right guys) to kill more people here than Islamic extremists in a given year. Trying to identify common threads between them. Not sure what I’m going to do with my findings. Might send them to the SPLC.
