The Happiness Thread

Dryers are, by and large, not a thing in Japan. Not enough space in the small apartments, but all of them have balconies with drying racks.

I'm a simple creature. Stores around me are already selling back-to-school supplies and I keep buying notebooks.

I got one with a spacey cover and stars in shiny foil for like $1 last night. It's gonna be my super special outline/worldbuilding notebook.

 

Just that I am the only person here who passed an on-line employment assessment this morning. Seems I might have the right stuff, [clue.]

 

Got my new computer today!

 

An unforeseen advantage of iPads finally having mouse support: You can map the Dock and App Switcher to extra mouse buttons, making navigation significantly faster. I’ll say one thing in defense of tablets: they really force you to dig around for those quiet little operating system features, lest you spend hours on very simple work tasks. In contrast, you can be rather complacent using Windows or macOS and still get by.

 

After a crappy Tuesday where I was assigned 168 plus pages of faulty records left over from my predecessor, errors that were caught and initially blamed on me *at first*, Wednesday was amazing because I corrected all 168 pages (500 records, give or take), and today i got approval to implement a new policy so that errors like this dont happen again.

Woop Wooooop!

 

I've got a few happies.

• Today I received my long awaited soapnuts.
• As a result of that, I have now solved the wrapping issue that I had for a gift.
• Also, I have now finished my haircut.

 

Don't ask me how, but I forgot an additional happy.
I've saved 2000 euro so far!

 

I fixed my air conditioner today, so my living room doesn't feel like an easy bake oven.

 

Today I spent time with the cat, made ice lollies, and ordered a Chinese. I ate it with chopsticks and pretended I was in Avatar: The Last Airbender.

My roommate has informed me that the super tasty free meals he gets from his parents have been piling up in our fridge and going bad. It's a shame to waste them since they're super healthy and from a local company, so I've been recruited to help him finish them throughout the week

After living off takeout and fast food for weeks, Real Vegetables taste like heaven~

Whenever my brother or I say "but first...", the other always finishes it with the roast duck thing. Iroh's always been my brother's favourite character.

 

I wonder if Zuko will join the order of the White Lotus.

WHY DO IMAGES NEVER WORK?

 

Korra went in a way different direction. I didn't see all the episodes after my son lost interest. Did it get any better after the '10,000 year evil' thing?

 

An old bud of mine is getting married. Invited me to the wedding, but that's not the happiness part. No, guv, the happiness part is my reason for going: Free food. The buffet won't be ready when this free food typhoon comes crashing in.
