When I was in boot camp, I had to do a thing at the admin section, which isn't under the control of the Drill Instructors but operates under the same rules. At San Diego, there are very few WMs (Women Marines), all the WM recruits and female DIs (this may have changed in the last thirty-odd years) are at Parris Island. But there was a WM gunny in the admin section, and she gave a recruit some paperwork and told him to take it to the next station, to which he screamed "AYE AYE SIR" and took off at the regulation dead sprint. It had to have happened to her a thousand times, but the look that crossed her face was one of utterly precious despair.
Y'know the best way to avoid the draft, don't you? Just kidding, do as you wish (and your body permits).
Martin Luther was generally a cool guy. Strong principles. Opposed corruption. But his reading of Jonah and the Whale was basically "Jewwwwwsssss" with swastikas in his eyes. "Regarding Jonah as the epitome of envy and jealousness, which they regarded as inherent characteristics of the Jewish people". Calvin also had an anti-semitic take, but he emphasised that the other characters in the story are also cruel or thoughtless to Jonah and there is an element of redemptive ritual in the story. He saw it as more about God and wasn't just thinking about Judaism. Luther was right the story doesn't have any historical weight though. More positive note, English Evangelical Abolitionist Thomas Clarkson was friends with both former British slave Olaudah Equiano and former American slave Frederick Douglas. It's cool to think of those two black people who had suffered personally becoming successful personally involving themselves in black liberation, not just a inspirational victims for white saviours to learn from.
I know a guy, who is married to a lady, who, behind closed doors, deep within a bedroom in the lands of whips, chains, ropes and pain, demands to be called "sir" least he get a lashing. Told me that's how they met - he called her ma'am and whip, bam, booty slap. It was love at first strike. They're happily married. For all I know, she's a sweet lady.
I have been mistaken as male a few times before, back when my hair was long. I have also been called a lady in more recent years, and I like it very much.
I am trying a new drug out. Vyvanse is its name. My doctor recommended it for me. It is for ADD which I have and to stop binge eating, so wonder if it is good to help calm down my junk food cravings. I do not know anything about it other than it starts with Vyv and I assume its name is Vyvanse due to web searching medicine that start with Vyv. Also a useless fact is that my computer cannot decide which wifi at the food court in the mall I visit to use. Not sure if this is a useless fact or not, but not having a word editing software open of choice (mine is Word) will not be helpful to write that story stuck in my head. I guess in some ways my stories are fan fiction of the day dreams in my head.
The only reason to watch NFL is to see if Tom Brady can win more Superbowl rings. Think he can get another this year?
The first Jewish person known to have set foot in North America was a Bohemian mining expert named Joachim Gans.
Weirdly enough, it is possible to play a Beholder in DnD, as long as you have a sufficient level of masochism necessary to break down a monster manual entry into a PC race. And then figure out a class. (My last two brain cells are begging for mercy
That would make for a good supplement: a book that breaks down using a beholder, mindflayer, and umber hulk as PCs.
It's really not worth the pain. I'm doing it because me and the boys are making a party of evil monsters, and I mentioned that in a previous game where I was the villain, I wasn't allowed to actually play the villain (A beholder named Xo) because the DM knew I would play an intelligent BBEG like an actual intelligent BBEG, and now I'm not allowed to play Evil characters in that group.
Say "Okay, fine. I'll be Chaotic Neutral then." Play a CN character right and they'll be begging you to just play the evil one.
I did. Now I'm not allowed to play Chaotic. If I have the freedom to make my own choices, it always winds up giving the DM a headache.
Women who owned cats or birds had considerably higher rates of lung cancer deaths and deaths from all forms of cancers than women without pets. Men who owned pets were at no greater risk of dying of cancer than men without pets. Owning a dog was not associated with any increased risks of dying from cancer. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/animals-and-us/201908/the-strange-link-between-pet-ownership-and-cancer-in-women
