Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by katina, Jan 5, 2020.

books for women only /and/or for men only?
In other words and if so
could a unisex book written for both the ideal target audience for any writer?

There are certainly books aimed primarily at men or women. But obviously some men and some women will read them.

I don't care what anyone says, Jane Austin did not write her books with male readers in mind.

It is true that some book will appeal to one group of people more than another . It is not just gender . It can be age , education or nationality . Science Fiction is popular with boys . I believe if your tried to write unisex Science Fiction , it probable would not gain a bigger new audience . There are some unisex book out there now , I tend not to read them , but I believe Harry Potter has a wide range, mixed audience .

    ?

I haven't found a book that required me to put my nut-sack on the cover to unlock it's contents. But when I do, I'll let you know.

    Not opening it though. Gross.

I suppose one goes with new instead of used in that case. :p
