Hey all! I'm joining a writing community for a few different reasons, one of the main ones being that I don't think I've got enough knowledge on how to write the way I'd like to; how to write more comprehensively from an in person perspective. I'm here to critique and get critiques, I want to further myself as a writer, and I'm glad to help others if they need it as well. I'm hoping to make a lot of friends here! I'm glad to be here and thanks for reading a bit about me.
Thank you! I like to think I am, I'm much better at interaction in this form than in real life situations; I think I'll be alright here
Welcome! I'm EFMingo, one of the new moderators here at the forums. Don't be shy about contacting me or one of the other active mods (jannert, big soft moose, and Iain Aschendale at the moment) if you have any questions or problems. I'm glad to read that you've taken an interest in both reviewing other work, and having yours looked at as well. Our forum members thrive on that very mindset. In order to post your own work, you need 14 days membership, 20 posts, and 2 critiques for every one work you post for review. Ive placed links here for quick reference if you need it: New Member Quick Start and Forum Rules. You will find that the time and posts go by quick, and reviewing others work my be very revealing to errors you may even find in your own writing. It's pretty easy to make friends on here, especially if you contribute quality posts and reviews to works and questions other place here. I've sure grown to love the place over the years, and find many of the threads very enlightening and useful in my own learning on writing. I'll be excited to see you posting about on the boards!
Thanks for linking them to me, they'll be handy to come back to if I need to. I've been thinking of the aspects of helping others to find my own faults; I'm excited for it. My hope is to one day be published, like my mom.
Your mom is a published author! That's interesting. I don't remember any other member here ever saying that. Are you writing the same kinds of things she does, or are you heading off in a different direction?
Hey wordyama, welcome . always nice to make new friends! I’m also reasonably new here and always on a quest of improvement. What do you like to write?
