I made a welfare claim earlier this month and it's now been approved, so we'll have a bit of extra money to keep us afloat at home. And things in Australia are looking a lot more hopeful this month. Most of our total coronavirus cases have now recovered, and the number of new cases has fallen a great deal. The current restrictions seem to be working and I think things will start to get better here soon. This is the least anxious I've felt all year.

 

It's been a lovely, quiet morning. I don't get those very often, so it's nice to have some quiet time for myself.

 

I'm repairing a computer right now, which is one of my least favorite things to do, but I'll have money in my pocket for the first time in a while, so woo.

 

I close on my house Thursday. That's this week. Then I move Saturday. That's also this week. Holy shit.

I'd be louder about it, but I'm still catching up to myself.

An extremely uncouth and unpleasant member of a Facebook group I belong to is no longer a member. My OP got deleted as a result of the barfight they caused, but it's worth it to know that their world just got a little smaller.

 

After a very long last I came up with a good name for my character, which is not already taken and seems just quite right.

Sha Lingyi!

So, "Sha" 沙 is the surname which means a bunch of things, but I'm keeping "sand" and is indeed a surname

and "Lingyi" 灵异 which also means a bunch of things, but I'm keeping "strange".

Most of all, it just sounds good to me.

Yes! This weekend I'm moving into my very own house with my very own mortgage payment.

 

Also I realized I can't math. Hahahaha, in twenty six hours, not fourteen. Good lord, can you imagine? Signing a document at 11 pm like some drug deal in the parking lot?

 

Oh nice! May it be deeply rooted!

I am finally back home!
I went into hospital after collapsing and hitting my head, on Monday afternoon*. I was freed just before lunch today. Granted that's not a very long time... but when you have nothing but the clothes on your back, your house keys and 4% phone battery...
Yay for freedom, comfort, and no more needles!
