Now we just need them to fly through some corn meal dredge and land in a frialator. I'm seriously jonesing for some calamari.
Www.cdc.gov is a far better source of information about the corona virus than www.facebook.com. I only put this in the useless facts thread because I know it won’t change anything about the numbers of people who insist on getting their gospel from social media.
I am pretty sure the handlers like dogs, but it is just a precaution in case they aren't. Everybody loves doggos.
Marijuana dispensaries (recreational too) are considered essential businesses and have stayed open but are still illegal on a federal level. This sums up the US quite nicely.
My barracks was next to the MP barracks when I was in and they had a doggy obstacle course between the two buildings. Every damn Saturday morning they interrupted my hangover screaming at those dogs. Abuse? No, but certainly not the tone I'd get away with when trying to order someone who outranked me around.
Dogs don't communicate with sound, they communicate with everything. They are on a much higher level of situational and field awareness in their sleep than we are with enhanced equipment. We just need to learn what they are telling us. If you see anyone screaming at a dog in training, they and everyone up the chain has no fucking clue what they are doing. Dogs are awesome, they are guardians, detectors, and doctors of diagnostic medicine. They don't think of us as masters, they think we're big goofy dominant dogs that don't know how to speak dog. There may be one or a few dominant human-dogs in their world, but the majority of humans are weaker dogs in the 'pack' that need their protection. Aggression in humans is perceived as weakness, something on the watchlist. Dominance is not intimidation. Dominance is will and trust.
I define it as verbal assault. The closest equivalent in law to my knowledge is slander, but that has to fit specific conditions.
925 silver is so called because it's only 92.5% silver. The reason for this is that silver is a soft metal, and so requires 7.5% of another metal (usually copper) to give it strength and general hardiness.
William Henry Harrison (February 9, 1773 – April 4, 1841), who served for only thirty-one days before his death, was the last president of the United States to be born under British rule. Personal side note, I find that painting superb. I feel like a lot of the man's character comes through. Side side note: I know nothing of his character, so maybe the artist royally screwed the pooch.
Enjoying my outlaws today - reading and wearing my scold’s bridle. Dick Turpin out / Jack Sheppard in...’Jack the Lad.’ tho’ Dick remains my favourite, and Wat Tyler + Robin Hood.
The ‘real’ Lord of the Flies’ article: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2020/may/09/the-real-lord-of-the-flies-what-happened-when-six-boys-were-shipwrecked-for-15-months
Interesting. Humans definitely have a lot of capacity to work together. But there is definitely darkness too.
The theme song for Carry On Don’t Lose Your Head sounds just like an Umpa Lumpa song from the original Willy Wonka film.
