An hour? What's this rice made of? :p
Rice is my lazy food. I've eaten plenty. :D

I've always had to let the rice warm for a while in my cooker to get rid of sogginess, but I bought a new bag of rice not too long ago and the time has been longer even though I use less water. I'm thinking the rice is a little different even though I've bought that brand before.

My wife sent me a recipe for a slow-cooker chicken dish. One of her coworkers had some for lunch the other day, and wanted me to make it for dinner. Where things get interesting is she didn’t send me the whole recipe; I got an ingredient list and to shred the chicken. That’s it. So I’m kinda winging it over here.

It’ll either be edible, or we’re having McDonalds tonight.

Chicken breasts and about 1/4 their volume in liquid (water, white wine, broth, whatever) will shred after 3-4 hours in a slow cooker. Season as you wish, it's a great Sunday cook, portion, and freeze for use all week dish.

It came out okay, it wasn’t fantastic, just okay. I might have preferred a double quarter pounder.

Little Hammer does this in the slow cooker with a bit of brown sugar and a bottle of barbecue sauce - makes a chickenny version of "pulled pork" which goes well in a bun with cheese and salad

Going to call for a donner wrap on my way home.

    * Waits for the non-Brits to ask what a donner wrap is *

Hey you’re right. It could well be Soylent Green I’m eating. I don’t think anyone really knows what animal donner meat comes off.

I spent a while in Istanbul and had some wonderful doner kebap wraps.

Also spent some time in Colorado and am passingly familiar with the story of the Donner Party.

    Your call...

No, I suspected it wasn’t what you meant, but I didn’t know what you meant so I went with it anyway.

Went to the local Casey's convivence store and bought a slice of pizza. It wasn't in its prime as the slice had been in the warmer for a little while, but I still enjoyed it.

Woke up with a mild hangover and a craving, so in 24 minutes there's a batch of cornbread that'll be coming our of the oven and into my waistline.

I made all of this but didn't have buns so I used lettuce as a "bun" forgetting that one of the most disgusting things in the world is hot lettuce. And my tots were freezer burned. Not my best dinner but dinner all the same.

"Hot Lettuce" would be a good album name though.

Dogberry's Watch, a one woman show, and her new album "Hot Lettuce." She can't sing the title track without gagging.

I've always felt that way about seafood. Odd that the French should name something so aptly.
