My sister is making bacon, banana and cheese melts for supper...

  2. Cheese and charcuterie plate again. Gotta work in the morning so I can't get sauced tonight.

:wtf: Well, but you eat them, so English in the sense that blood pudding and bangers and mash and pigs in a blanket are... (Why does yours feel like a loaded answer?)

Perhaps because there's a big accusatory gun of cultural stereotyping aimed right atcha? :D If guns can be accusatory, of course.

Now there's a fun thought... a gun fight between England and America. I think we tried that one before, didn't we? Yeah, you guys wrap the pigs in the blankets for us, we'll bring the bangers and have bacon. Yeeeee HAAAAAWWW!!!

As long as no one tries to make me eat blood sausages, we'll manage to scrape by. The best ham and the worst sausage I ever ate were in the same Full Irish Breakfast. Not that I'm confusing Ireland with England, of course.

I've made a cat purr and a raccoon brood, but never an antelope stew.

Ah, when writer humor and dad jokes coincide...

A frozen pizza bought at a gas station. Options were limited. Left work at 1:30 AM, needed to grab smokes, realized I forgot the other half of a sandwich in the walk-in, wasn't necessarily starving but wanted to make myself a nice manhattan when I got home, realized I better eat something, wasn't sure what I had in the house that was fire and forget, so... yeah. A frozen pizza. But it's a Red Baron Supreme, which isn't bad on the frozen pie scale.

Gin and tonic. Several. 105 degree heat index in Providence, plus 10 degrees for the urban, concrete jungle heat radiation. I put some food in my mouth out of biological obligation, but have no desire to eat in this sweat soup.

Some vegetables over the fire. Cajun spiced white corn on the cob and baked potatoes. Sprinkle in some bacon, cheese, and chives from the garden.

I bought pizza from a store called Emart. It's the Korean version of Walmart. The pizza sucked.

I made a sort of hybrid chinese stir fry. Used very thin sliced beef that I let marinate in garlic, soy sauce, white wine, sugar, flour, and ginger. Fried the beef, with white onions, bok choy, hreen onion shoots, and sliced white mushrooms with a home made chinese garlic chilli sauce.

Very subtle flavors. Served over white rice. I was pleased that it wasn't overbearing in flavors so I could enjoy all of the flavors.

Leftovers. Green chili and corn chips, hot Italian sausage on crackers on the side, watermelon for dessert.
