Hillo, all! My name is Coeboldt, and I am an average human male in my twenties, not — as my avatar would suggest — a violin-playing cat. Trust me, I'm just as disappointed as you are. I write mostly fiction, taking the perspective of either children or older adults. Darker subjects and themes are my bread and butter, and I'm fascinated by the flexibility of the human mind. I'm a competent writer, or so I'd like to think, but am often stymied by my obsession with prose style and rhythm and have a certain nasty perfectionist streak. This 130-word long introductory post alone took me well over an hour to draft, if you'll believe it. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know some of you and having conversations about — what else? — writing. Cheers!
Is it lessons you need, or the violin? Whatever you do, don't be squeamish about the strings. It's just strays - it helps keep the wells clear.
Welcome. It's too late. I already believe you are a violin playing cat and to dissuade me of that notion would break my heart. Full disclosure: I am not the blond in my avatar. Hmm. I may be due a new avatar. (Off to research other misleading photos.)
Oh, dear! No, of course I am a violin-playing cat. Please disregard everything else in this post — give it as much notice as you would the ants beneath your feet. It is only this part which is purely factual. I swear by it. We'll have to have a word one of these days with the Powers That Be about Their criminal negligence, you and I. I'd volunteer to lodge the complaint, but I can't seem to locate the mailbox. I'll be sure to lodge a complaint about that, too. Both, I reckon. I have a violin, but it's poorly made. The E string snapped within three minutes of first tuning; having never put much stock in omens, I went to the luthier and bought a replacement. Then, after the new one had been put in, I started tuning again and tightened the A string — and the blasted thing also snapped! Needless to say, I am now learning piano. The stringless sort, with a power adapter. The only headache it's given me is from my own playing, but at least that can improve with time... (Hello to the other posters as well. Didn't want to forget!)
Yeah, disappointing indeed, however I do not have a great surname (or even great looks) myself either. A nasty perfectionist streak sounds sexy though. Looking forward to see what you are up to.
