Personally I think they are just trying to capitalize on the AI hype. I didn't see anything where AI was used in a way that really needed 'an AI powerhouse' to be mentioned (at least for the average consumer). It may have such capability, but it didn't show it. I didn't even see anything where a user interacts with an AI assistant. Maybe that's in another video.
I laughed out loud at the haptic track pad and mentioning a function row like it's revolutionary new tech. Re: the AI chip, it makes sense because Apple has been feature-starved for a while now. I mean, I still don't understand this. If you're seriously productive, why would you buy a computer the thickness of a cracker (heat problems, battery life problems) with the money you could use to purchase 2-3 computers that have more power, more longevity. This is for hypothetically productive people.
Technology itself doesn't ever go too far. Or too near. The people using it do. Even when the nuke was ready, dropping it wasn't inevitable. Somebody had to make that decision. And to lighten the mood a little, here's technology that never should've got off the ground: the underwater car.
