While we had to say goodbye to Rue Dog, we also did something we haven't done in fourteen years...We applied to adopt a dog from the rescue we got Rue Dog from.
I have a zoom meeting with the scottish solictor in the morning to inquire about the church ruin in loch torredon my wife and i want to restore. Wish us luck!
Good luck, TrevorD! I have baked potatoes sitting in the oven, garnished with crushed garlic - and I have another garnish when they're done, made from a dollop of sour cream, some finely chopped green onions and chives, and some finely chopped bacon (which I'm frying right now). Mmm ... comfort food.
I wrote 9000+ words yesterday. And have only 7 chapters left before this segment is done and I can move onto the next POV. So excited. P.s. On another note, I have been playing a Dex build in Dark Souls and almost killed the Capra Demon without a shield. He still got me in the end, but now I know it's possible. So I am going to keep trying.
Stuff the diet! I indulged in the yummiest lime cheesecake I have ever eaten. It was well worth the calories
Wow! That's a gigantic piece of cake. Or is it simply an extreme close-up? Whatever the chef who made this dessert is paid, it isn't enough. After all, beggars can't be juicers. (Orange you glad I made that pun? It gave me exstrawberry pleasure)
I like key lime pies/cheesecake but with type 2 diabetes, normal versions are verboten. I do make my own version of key lime using lime jello, a shot of lime juice, and cool whip, all sugar free. Not too bad, but also not dangerous to me.
I can't see anything in the FAQ section that says new members can't post images. If you tried to copy and paste, it may be that the image is too large. Then, the other option available to you is to post the image to a site like Imgur, to get a link for it, and then insert the image using the link in the icon of the picture above, beside the smiley face
Thank you for checking. I didn't see anything either. I did have it loaded to Imgur and used the link but it showed up with a box and an x across the box. Maybe it is too large. It's 437kb. I didn't see an option to copy and paste.
We lost our pet dog about 5 years ago and have not had the heart for another. Until we saw this little guy this past weekend while browsing the flea market. He was shivering in a pen with his brothers and sisters. Wish we could have taken them all. His name is Totoro - for the pointy ears.
I have been trying to put on weight. Not all foods help do that, so I might have to try this out, for purely research purposes.
Made it to my brother's house and in a little bit, we're gonna go spend the afternoon at the movies. I am gearing up for some really solid relaxation time.
I like pie; me oh my! And cinebons too. Been on a jerky making kick lately. I now have three pounds of venison jerky put up. My go to healthy snack.
not really "happiness" but more so enjoyment.... i am enjoying some of the seasonal menu items. I just bought a cardamom latte and a pumpkin streusel bagel. they are actually really good!
I said goodbye to Zippy car today and feel happy and sad. I wanted to keep her, but common sense prevailed.

When writing, hitting each 10K milestone is so satisfying. Some days I can't write at all, so I appreciate the days I can. A couple days ago I wrote 12K words in 10 hours, and it felt amazing. If there is one thing the Army taught me, it is if you keep putting one foot in front of the other, you can get through anything. No matter how shitty your situation is, there is always tomorrow if you don't quit today.
