My son has been a serious hunter and all-around outdoorsman his entire life. He says a cow moose with a calf at her side is one of the most dangerous entitites around.

 

Decapitation with or without a moose involved? (I'm not being flip; I'm really not sure what you mean.) When riding a motorcycle through Yellowstone, one has to be especially cautious approaching areas where wildlife spotting cars are blocking the get away route.

 

Thanks for the recommendation. I just joined. I read over a few threads, and I have to say, based on what I have seen, our Debate Room was more intellectual.

 

I've seen a lot of fleeing deer and a lot of motorcycles, but not much resemblance between the species. It makes about as much sense, right or wrong, to say grizzlies confuse loud, large motorcycles with other bears ready to fight for territory or a fair lady bear's hand.

Grizzlies, like many predators, are programmed to chase whatever flees from them, including humans. As far as they're are concerned, we're just nice cuts of meat wrapped in colorful, easy to remove packaging.

 

More like a underground fight club. Lol.

 

So I joined Debate Politics, made my post in the Introduction thread, and then went to make my first real post in the forums and I got banned as spam!! It happened as soon as I hit "Post reply"

I had a link in the post, but if I wasn't allowed to post a link then why enable that function?

Got a message that if the ban was in error to contact an Administrator, but when I tried the "contact us" function it doesn't work for me - because I'm banned!

I tried replying to the email they sent to confirm my email but it's been several hours and still no response.

 

I know - I was just blowing off steam. Sorry. I didn't think it was your problem. I just thought it was a funny story.

I am checking out politicsforum.org and their discussion seems a higher calibre

I was thinking about posting the "moose" credits from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but they are actually quite long and possibly not relevant.

 

Red Dwarf is great. I read the book and saw a few episodes of the show when my cable company ran it ten-fifteen years ago. I'll have to track it down and catch the rest. Utter absurdity at its finest.

 

My company used to do conventions, and one of my employees has met most of the stars (I haven't, I was always too busy on the stand). She tells me Chris Barrie (Rimmer) and Danny John-Jules (Cat) are really nice people. She's got a great picture where she's tried to get Barrie in that background, and he's noticed her doing it and is making a face in her direction.

However, Craig Charles (Lister) is a dick.

 

Well he spent 30 years high and pickled, crashing, or in rehab. Until a couple years ago you could see him in my home town running nights as a DJ, and he would always be obviously glassy eyed and off his noggin. I gather he finally got clean.

So I imagine how much of a dick he was at any given time depended on how far along a particular cycle of self-destruction he was at the time. Probably goes for a lot of us.
