Heyo, I’m Rarin (She/Her). An 18 year old, from Canada. Mainly I write fanfics, but I also dabble in a few other things. Past few years, I’ve been writing a lot more. Though I’ve been writing off & on, since forever. I’ve been struggling with it for a bit, so I joined. Hopefully I can find something to push myself. I’m newer to forums so I’m not used to it. Hopefully y’all have a decent day/night!!!
Hello, and welcome to WF, @Rarin. If you're looking for somewhere to help you improve your writing, this is the right place. If there are any aspects of writing you need help with, feel free to ask. Don't be shy and jump in, share your thoughts and/or share your writing. Have a look around and see what it's all about!
Hello and welcome Rarin, glad you've found us. As @Naomasa298 mentioned, make yourself at home. If you wish to push yourself - might I suggest you try entering the writing contests? A new flash fiction contest will open in a few days, mid-month, and a new short story contest opens the first of every month. Looking forward to seeing you in the forums!
Hello @Rarin, Welcome! How can we help with your struggles? Feel free to create a thread in the discussion forums and I am sure many will offer you their experience, expertise, excellence to aid your progress. You are in good hands here.
Greetings and welcome, Rarin! I joined recently as well because I was struggling in my own way with my writing. I was also looking for that encouraging and gentle nudge to help jumpstart me back toward my writing goals and get me back on track with my writing journey - and I found that here! For me, the members on this thread have already provided me with so much insight, guidance, and support. I'm now exploring other ways to participate in the forum while learning more about my own writing journey. It's been a great experience. Enjoy!
(smacks you upside the head with a still wiggling salmon) Shut up and write! How's that? The smell will go away eventually.
Welcome Rarin, I know how it feels to struggle with writing. I would be surprised if there were writers who don't struggle at some point in their time writing. And don't give up fanfics either. Always remember that Twilight began as a fanfic and it turned into a huge success. Don't. Ever. Stop.
