    Hi

Discussion in 'New Member Introductions' started by Vagabond, Apr 23, 2025.

    Hello,

I'm a former occultist and scholar, my name I shall not reveal. Esoterism and world affairs are not stranger to me. There is nothing important to be known about me, expect that I have a vested interest in futurology, and in writing anime/cartoon scripts. I don't like mindless actions, that is just not attractive, a story needs to have a greater purpose, with lessons, and being philosophical to a certain extent with of course some thrill of actions.

What entertains you and what makes you think is the winning combinations.

English is not my native language but I can speak it quite well as a polygloth.

I hope to benefit from you, and as well, you from me. I will be back !

    Welcome Vagabond.
I believe most writers have something meaningful to say in their prose. Whether it’s through subtext, metaphor, or exposition.

Most modern animes/cartoon suck, at least to me. No plot, no great story, nothing, just meaningless actions, no depth, no story line.

There are only a few masterpieces per year, quantity over quality is the main problem of scripts and animation in a more and more competitive world.

Same about novels. The commodification of literature led many writers to write solely for money with no passion or talent, plus the emergence of AI, a novel should be good otherwise why read it ?

I get you. My experience is reading with a hope of becoming immersed. If they don't have me by the first chapter, I'm gone, unless it is research or a beta read.
