Hey there everyone! I am finally here. I have a lot to learn but I have always loved writing and while I do enjoy my day job as a software engineer, my soul is longing to create and share and connect. I was encouraged into a STEM career path by my parents, but writing has always been something that has pulled at me. I have also struggled to have my own voice in my life, for a bunch of reasons I won't bore you with - but writing is my way of returning to my truth. It is a safe haven where the truth can be told in a gentle, creative, peaceful way. When I was little my favourite thing to do was write, except I was encouraged to keep making visual art, which I also loved, but it didn't allow me to say as much as I wanted to say. I love language, I love coding, I love learning other languages, and I love creating. I have always journaled, and I have toyed with writing here and there, but I feel I need a community to progress. I am really excited to be part of a community. I find myself very motivated by sharing with others and I am excited to read the work of others. Thank you, i-am-finally-here
