The problem is, I like having an Anon name. This is one I had on NaNoWriMo since 2009. My pen name is googlable and I want to keep my accounts separate.
another problem popped up.... I finally have an account on there... but i cant do anything with it because i never got the confirmation email i waited... checked my spam box... checked to see if i typed my email correctly... then hit "Resend confirmation email" still waiting for it i'm assuming once i confirm my account, that i can edit my profile information and stuff...
I thought a lot about changing my username. Got this one when I thought I'd be done with my novel in a few months and looking to be published a few months after that, but... ...that was ten years ago and I'm no closer. So Iain Aschendale it is, warts and all.
Everybody still seeing the site okay and able to do things? Moose is fiddling with the mod permissions so I can't see anything at the moment. Just want to make sure it's an us thing.
Yeah, mine has been soft and floofy more often than not the past few years as well. What a drag it is getting old...
So, now that the new forum is live, isn't it a good idea to lock all threads except a few (like this one) and stop members from making new posts? This might be a dumb question but I thought it was worth asking. By the way, now that I've had a few moments to use the new forum, the software feels totally superior. The new place already feels great.
A nice smooth transition for me! For a forum built in four days, it looks fantastic. Great job, guys!
No need to shut it down yet. Still stragglers and new members to potentially grab. If it's still here in after the 28th, might be a different story.
I'm not talking of shutting it down but it might be wise to lock a few forums off... if i can make it work i might see if i can set a new pm on joining to say hey join us over here. that might be broken though
