I started writing when I was in seventh grade, I had been going through a rough time and I tried different things in order to calm myself down, but since nothing worked, i tried writing everything down and it was amazing. I started out writing short stories, and then I got into poetry. Most of the stuff I write is really dark and a bit morbid. Since I've wanted to be a write ever since 1st grade, I decided to keep writing. My focus on writing is more for young adults and teens, because the topic is just easier to relate to, I don't write things in prose anymore, I write a lot more in poetry form now.
I write as a way to express my ideas. Any form of art would work just as well, but writing happens to be the one I'm 'best' at. Yes, heresy.
What compells you to write? The fact that I get frustrated when I don't do it Why do you write? It's a release for all the ideas running through my head What makes you write what you write? I write whatever I'm thinking about, so basically whatever I experience or see during the day What Made you decide you liked to write? I get a huge feeling of accomplishment when I've finished a story or poem What Do You Write? Some poetry, but mostly fantasy stories and novels
What compells you to write? I can't tell an entire story with an image and I'm not really good enough to illustrate a graphic novel or comic book...... YET! Why do you write? I love telling stories, I'm the heir to the throne in the kingdom of bull****. I make up stuff constantly, have a thousand worlds and million characters floating about in my head; writing is one of the many ways I expose them. What makes you write what you write? Most of the stuff I write is based on my own life experience: Except I blow it well out of proportion and coat it with a healthy dosage of future land pirates. What Made you decide you liked to write? Just always did. It was just a matter of getting the motivation to create something longer than a couple of pages. What Do You Write? I dunno what you would call it: Plot driven post apocalyptic action science fiction?
I write because I love crafting situations, characters and creating my own little worlds, so to speak. I like writing business type documents and such, too, but fiction is where it's really at for me. I want to try writing almost any genre except for science fiction. I'm not good at it and so I don't torture myself with it. I've always liked writing, from the time I was little and I just have to write everyday or I feel like something is really off. Lynn
When write i feel like a mad man..Simply put, i don't write because i want to, i write because i have to. It has honestly developed into a compulsion. I think it stems more so from the the fact that writing is really my one emotional outlet. I'm a quiet guy, i don't stir trouble, and i don't talk well. But when you get a keyboard in front of me..hold me back.. I really cant classify what i write..its mostly posts like these, but i am working on some basic fiction..nothing more than polished turds at the moment but i am getting there..
for this, the awnser is simple. I write because i am fueld my my passion to say what i need to in a way people can understand. When i am talking, i stumble over my words and studder as if i am still learning basic english. But when i am writing, for some reason, i am able to make it all come out.
To be a writer was my childhood dream. I write because I must. I can't help it. Because there is life every day, I write every day. I write about life and lifestyle choices. I write self-improvement and inspirational (not religious) articles to help readers understand their lives, cope with their troubles, see the importance of taking care of themselves and encourage them to identify, pursue and achieve their dream and life passionately.
What compells you to write? I believe it's an addiction. Why do you write? Because I can't seem to feel alive without doing so. It helps me think. It energizes me. What makes you write what you write? I don't know. Something in a few random words I write down speaks to me of something else. And before long I'm wrapped up in something that seems like a story to me, or its first cousin, anyway. It's like a dance of some kind between me and my medium. What Made you decide you liked to write? It wasn't a decision. More like an experience. And I wouldn't characterize my attitude toward writing as "liking" it. It's much more akin to some kind of compulsion. What Do You Write? Poetry sometimes and short fiction (my favorite and the biggest challenge). Also nonfiction, advertising, essays, other people's communications as well as my own, and posts in response to questions like this (I do way too much of that). Each has its unique challenges, and I take all of them equally seriously.
What compells you to write? The cogs inside my head keep pushing, and i must obey them Why do you write? Many reason why i write, but mainly because i enjoy it. Having ideas and dreams is one thing, but to take it one step further and write them down, expaning them into a story is fantastic. It feels so rewarding, like watering a plant and eatching it grow. What makes you write, what you write? Expereince from rreading, reading and readong more. A much as i hate it, im a product of my environments (Stephen King and Tom Clancy) What made you decide you liked to write? I have always written. I wrote a book (well it was an "episode"/ 20p ages) when i was 6 (in school assessment). And over many years have had people tell me they enjoy my imagination, which was pretty recent. Why do you write? 1) I enjoy it, its a form of escapism 2) I actually enjoy the worlds i create 3) I would like to improve my ability to write 4) The dream of one day being published, so many could expereince my worlds of immagination.
What compells you to write? It mainly to show some people that they are wrong. Even thoe my spelling or my handwriting is bad. Why do you write? For the sheer fun for it
What compells you to write? Anything and Everything. I have been inspired by a statue in a park and the sound of raindrops on a window pane. Why do you write? Why do you breathe? Its just what seems natural to me, to try to capture thoughts on paper with words. What makes you write what you write? The feeling that unless I write it, I'll never be satisfied unless it is free from my mind and on paper. What Made you decide you liked to write? Reading. When I read really good books with amazing descriptions, I realized that I loved to do that too when I wrote. What Do You Write? Fantasy is my passion. The majority of ideas that flit into my head are fiction and fantasy. I write about heroes, villains, magic, and battles.
What compells you to write? I have an overactive imagination, and I want to share my stories with others. Why do you write? I currently write because I had my son 7 months ago, and I want him to be proud of me when Im long gone. I honestly think its the one talent I am blessed with, even if others may not agree. I have always been a writer, as long as I can remember I've been telling stories, and now I feel i have a story to tell that needs to be on paper so it can be shared and remembered. (atelast shared by myself, and remembered by my family haha) I'm not totally filled with confidence yet. What makes you write what you write? I dont know, honestly. I just get ideas, and if they stick in my head longer than a day, I run with them. What Made you decide you liked to write? the feeling of accomplishment when you write something that can make another smile, cry, or even think a little harder. What Do You Write? Poetry (horrible, horrible poetry LOL) and currently a novel.
I write the same reason I direct home movies: to tell a story. I started when I was in second grade. I wanted to make a movie but I didn't know how so I did the next best thing and I became hooked.
I write about things that touch my life in some way...even if for a fraction of time and even they are of little to no significance...If I have a feeling...then I'm writing ...in an effort to either persuade the reader or make them truly feel the emotions that I felt during a particular instance. I feel that writing is a gift. It's hard for me to edit someone's writing, other than grammar, because it's theirs. Different styles work better for other people also.
1.I first started writing in my journals, as a teenager. I basically wrote to understand what I was doing. How my thinking was evolving through certain situations. I write because it's healthy for me, to write my issues and go back and read them again. To figure out what I can do to find solutions for my problems. 2.I write because it makes me happy, to share my creativity. It's something I have complete control over.Something that is rather hard to do in the real world. 3.Emotions,situations, other people's situations.Thoughts I have about the world in general. 4.I continued writing in my journal into adulthood. It's a part of me like an arm.I would not dare to get rid of it.It's my gift, my destiny. 5.I mostly write philosophy. I would like to use my philosophy, to write screenplays or drama series.
Writing is breathing For me, I've always been a writer. As a child I would make up stories, which progressed to writing handwritten stories, then onto writing adventures for dungeons and dragons...don't laugh....and so on. I enjoy the act of writing. It clears my head, gives me perspective, and when I'm in the zone it's a rush! I've published four short stories, all in the fantasy genre and now I want to land a book deal. (Here's for hoping!) I do have one agent that is interested and is reading over my first three chapters now. In my day to day life, I'm a copywriter so the fictional writing is a great way for me to relax at the end of the day. Funnily, when I was a child I wrote by hand until I got my first typwriter. Now, for my fiction writing, I've gone back to writing by hand as it really does stimulate the creative process for me.
What compels you to write? A burning urge that I feel every day. Why do you write? It's an addiction I can't even explain. I love the control mostly. What makes you write, what you write? My passion for the genre, characters, and/or story lines. What made you decide you liked to write? When I started dreading anything that would take away from the time I can do it, especially since they were things that most people considered to be "fun."
Id like to answer each question individualy but my answers are the same for all. My head is far too noisy.
1. Mostly boredom. 2. I write because it's something I enjoy doing. 3. I'm mostly inspired by the actions of people. What they do and why they do it has always interested me. 4. I started hanging around on text-based RP forums and it pretty much took off from there. 5. A lot of "what-if" scenarios. Mostly fiction.
What compells you to write? Obsession. I have a love for entertaining others, and i'm a perfectionist/completionist. Once i start something I'm passionate about, there's no stopping me until i'm 100% satisfied. I've had the idea for a story since high school, and i love the idea so much that i can't help but be obsessed with writing it down. Why do you write? I want to become an author. When i try to think about my future, i can't envision myself doing anything but writing. It's a little worrisome that i've never written anything before, but I'm proud of what i have so far, and i'm determined to see it through to the end. What makes you write what you write? I've been through a lot, and I love epic stories. I enjoy mixing the two together and seeing what i come up with. I know that everyone becomes the person they are through the events in their past, and I find it interesting to mold characters through events i make them go through. What Made you decide you liked to write? The first time i was given complete creative freedom on a writing assignment in the 11th grade. I had always hated reading and writing up to that point of my life because very few books appealed to me, and i hated writing because it was exhausting. Once i was actually given freedom to write what i wanted, it was an eye-opening experience. It was fun. What Do You Write? I've been busy writing a fantasy story for quite some time, though i have also written a small bit of poetry and a few short stories just to keep myself sane.
