The crying is caused by a chemical irritant in the onions which, to my understanding, vaporizes on contact with air. Running water over the onions provides an alternate and more powerful solvent for dissolution than the air. Irritant stays in the water and away from your eyes. Definitely plausible.
Err. The bone fingers coming out of his fingerless gloves and glowing red eye sockets don't make it a little obvious? I was basing it off of your character description. If you don't want him to know, he won't. Sorry about that.
I said gloves, not fingerless gloves, and have you even looked at my character directly yet? Its a faint green glow, unless it turns to the bright red crimson. Also I'm guessing that Jules totally ignored the whole stfu thing.
Please update your original posted profile. He'd been flashing red eyes every other post, since everyone has been insulting/antagonizing/yelling at him... again, I'll change my post some more. He only gave Terrance a brief glance when he was walking towards the camp... saw him a little closer when he was talking to Aves. Let me know when I notice, I guess...

Honestly, I had been expecting more of a reaction from the "Britney picked up the duck and held it close to her chest, squeezing gently for a nice little hug" part.
