Right now I am in the middle of explaining to someone that does not want to understand that adding an escrow would raise the monthly payments.... Where does she think the money will come from?

Does she think the escrow is a gift from the bank?

    Maybe she does. :)

I could have used your help explaining to a customer who spoke spanish a few weeks ago that I didn't steal his money when I was doing a return for him. That was fun.

It is a seperate account that relates to a home mortgage which the bank uses to pay the property taxes and home owners insurance for the client.

Actually, it's intended to make things easier for the client. Without the escrow account collecting a little bit every month to make the yearly payments for the taxes and insurance, it would fall to the client to make the whole payment at one time for both. Not the easiest thing for most people to do.

I wish I owned a home outright. Right now, I would settle for having my own place, whether I owned it outright or not...

I finished saving my peektures! :D

that isn't good Emily. Swine flu is in our town now. A young teenage girl was going to school for 2 weks with flu like symptoms, after just over a week had the testing for it, still continued to go to school until she was given her test results and had actually tested positive.

I hope your friend feels much better soon.

I never actually see her. So, I shouldn't be in any immediate danger. But it's weird to see it in our town...

So far, it's spreading quickly, but hasn't shown to be more dangerous than any other form of flu. I won't decide until the actual flu season.

I was surprised it reached our town. It was in a place 2 hours away, and now it is finally here. yay! ><

The flu itself isn't dangerous as such, but what the fear is, is that they don't really have anything to fight it with, no antibiotics... if someone with a common cold catches it, it could mutate into something that is dangerous. That is the fear, the swine flu mutating into something that is dangerous and that they have no antibiotics to fight it. Considering I have a young 3 year old with respiratory problems, she is at major risk. Her problem is that her lungs can't flush properly because the bronchial tube is... best way to describe it, floppy. So all the muck remains in the bronchial tube, builds up, and becomes an infection within her lungs. So if she were to get the swine flu, she would end up in a sugar load of trouble.

So people can think what they want about this swine flu, but I myself am going to stress over it because I know the outcome would be devastating if it entered into my home. Not just for myself, but for my children and my mother with a terminal illness if we were to come in contact with her. Though we don't see her much at all now because it is winter and my little miracle Ami is always ill.
