Haha! I think I'll enjoy the vacation away from the "Somebody's watching me" feeling. Thank you, Rumpole and Agreen! Lydia, I dont know how long we're staying --I think a week or two at most. Probably wont have the time, but you're welcome to come visit the capital and see me! I actually doubt I'll have much time anyway... In the past, international projects include a massive print article, several radio commentaries (which will be done in the middle of the night, when we're not out interviewing, haha), and usually some smaller articles to be circulated to other sources. I hope I will have time though. From what I've gathered, we're not exactly staying in a "nice" area, which is to be expected. But I wouldnt mind visiting the Louvre, if only for a few hours even. I'm really interested in art history, and I've read about the place so much... WANT! Haha, Xeno. You're welcome to come visit me too, but I bet you'll be surprised at how frustrated I can get. I love working as a journalist --really do, but when the deadlines come crashing around me, I can get pretty nasty. So you consider yourself warned! As for your profile picture... I'm confused; what is it a picture of?
I found it when I actually followed the link. Haha; it took me a second because I was just looking at the original.
The last few months i have been REALLY trying to get into the hang of writing full length novels (Well i meaning completing novels i start no matter what) being a short story addict that i am. Well with 5 months of non stop writing i have actually completed my first novel. Before i continue, its not going to be sent away (As with my short stories i do not believe in ever trying to make something big of your first attempt. I wrote 100+ short stories before i sent any away). Anyway, its double good news for me because it turned out to be 201,794 words. Thats great because the story has two plotlines running together which means i can change the timing of events now and add mybe another 10,000 words and spit it into two books (though two 100k book would be fine without adding any = fantasy). So that way if i do this, they can both be stand alone novels Anyway it pleases me. Another year or two and half adozen more stpories and i might attempt something serious. yay me. I eonder how long second drating will tkae, never been here before for such a thing.
I've got a few Doctor Who audio plays and I'm listening one of them now. Two by Sylvester McCoy and one by Paul McGann. Right now, listening to Night Thoughts. This one gets quite close to a horror.
*wedding bells dance around head* SOEXCITEDFORYOU!!!!! Why am I not invited? I am quite the party animal at weddings. I start line dances.
Thanks, guys! Lydia-We're getting married February 2nd of next year. On our 2-year anniversary. And Gigi, I've actually been toying with the idea of making an invitation that I could post as a picture or something on the site. If I can figure out how to do it, I'm totally going to. About time! I sent it ages ago!
I can't believe no one has had happy news since mine!!! Come on, get happeeeee! My ring is going to be available to pick up today. Had to wait for it to get resized. *squirms with excitement* I can't wait! Need it now! I'm also happy because my 11th grade English teacher just got a facebook, so I added her and one of the gals I went to high school with made a discussion group so our teacher could continue teaching us, even though we've all graduated and are either in college or graduated from college. I'm so nerdily happy having all these literary discussions with my past teacher and classmates! It's making me feel better about not being able to go back to school.
