Are you using a different socket for the headphones? If so, try switching the cable round and seeing whether any sound will come from the speakers. It could be that the port is broken.

If not, try disconnecting the speakers and then plugging in you headphones.

EDIT: Ah, through the actual laptop itself?

It may be that your port is broken.

Awww, boo. :( That really stinks, I'm sorry!

My sister has the reverse of your problem with her laptop. It plays fine through headphones, but won't play through her laptop speakers. It's a pretty new laptop, too...

Hidden, LOL. You mean you don't enjoy hanging out with your mother in law? But most stories I've heard of mother in-laws sound so positive.

I really hope so. One of her friends has suddenly announced that she's meant to be coming to see her this week so all her plans have been thrown out of the window, including tomorrow. :(

Well that stinks! That used to happen with Joel's friends a lot, where we would have plans and then suddenly he would find out they were coming to see him. It's always disappointing when something you've been looking forward to like this gets put off because of that. :(

There are only three full-time employees where I work. One of them didn't tell me on Friday that he his taking this whole off for vacation. How is it that with only 3 people, I can somehow be out of the loop?

It's part of the economic stimulus plan. Not only does it add jobs for construction workers, it increases consumer spending on fuel.

I'm kind of bummed out because I had to tear up a really nice pair of pants today. No, this isnt a body complaint, but my body is so out of wack. Come on man --I dont even fit "petite" pants, which are shorter than "short" pants! :( It's not fair; I wish I had just two more inches of leg.

I have to tear up all of my clothes and restitch them to fit, but then the professional look is lost. The jeans I just restitched had a really nice hem that I couldnt even try to duplicate. *sigh*

This is why I go to Goodwill most of the time, I guess. I can snip and sew without a care. But these were really nice jeans, and some of the quality was taken away when I had to butcher the hem.

At least I'm taking an advanced fashions class in school (another complaint: I have to be at school early on the first day. Boo!). Maybe my teacher will have some tips to maintain the professional quality of clothing...

Ouch, having to go to school early does sound bad. Also, by this point, I figured that you would just be used to having to re do pants. It would obviously still be annoying, but less anger inducing.

Yeah, I am used to it... but I am much more careful with my "nice" pants and jeans. I usually get most of my stuff from outlet stores and Goodwill, so I'm not so concerned about how it looks. But these pants my "nice" pants that I wear out to formal places. I know that no one is going to notice the hem, but I will.

Went to a strip club tonight with some buddies. I ended up just feeling bad. My buddy bought me a private dance and I just talked to the stripper instead of having her dance. She was nice and now I'm just kind of sad. She said she wanted to be an actress but had to pay the bills. I tipped her $40 bucks for the conversation and told her she shouldn't have to degrade herself to follow her dreams. Now I want to cry because of the people stuck doing things they never would have except for crappy circumstance.

Sorry, I'm a bit tipsy and sad. :(

You and I are very much alike. This is exactly what I probably would have done, then get made fun of for it later.
