I'm tempted to swap one of those out for the Indiana Jones Trilogy. (That's right, I said trilogy) Yeah, I just have the first one on there. I think that one has the greatest sense of adventure to it.
Like Ruffles, you can't have just one. Oh, I didn't post mine. 1.)Secretary 2.)Gone With The Wind 3.)Wristcutters: A Love Story 4.)The Wizard of Oz 5.)Stardust I know, a girly list.
They were drunk! The son of the Devil and an Aquatic creature, drunk, singing "I Can't Smile"! It was funny!
Did you read the book? This was one of the few cases (maybe the only?) where I liked the movie better. The book was good, and I liked how it was kind of a throwback to fairy tales of yore. But the book was missing a worthwhile climax. Also, I find with Gaiman that his main characters are rather bland. He has brilliant supporting characters. But in everything I've read from him, the main characters just seem uninteresting.
When I saw the movie I didn't realize there was a book, or else I totally would have read it first. Then for my birthday my parents gave it too me. I've spent the last year or so valiantly trying to read it, but it's so hard, it just seems so boring! Maybe I would have liked it better if i had read if first...but I really want to finish it, I keep clinging to the hope it will pick up a bit. Some of the best books I've ever read are like that.... But for sure this is easily one of the only, if not the only, case where I have liked the movie better than the book.
