I'm verrrrrry happy right now. Trans Siberian Orchestra is performing here on December 6th. My sister and I were talking about it, so we got tickets. Then it occurred to me that my dad loves TSO, and that my parents would probably really enjoy going to the show with us, so I got my parents tickets too!

    SO EXCITED.

I called my dad a little bit ago to tell him I got him tickets, and he was very happy. VERY HAPPY.

I'm like...overflowing with joy right now.

    :D:D

It's still possible. I don't see the Jaguars keeping up the pace they're on, the Jets don't have much of a chance because Mark Sanchez is terrible, and the Steelers lost to the Chefs. Denver is well into their yearly slide as well. They will, however, have to watch out for the streaking Raiders (second longest win streak of the year!) I'm happy because it is still mathematically possible for the Raiders to have a winning record, heading into December

I had a really great lesson today in my Creative writing workshop.

We'd all previously submitted a 1,000 word story for feedback in preparation for a 2,000 word story and 2,000 word critical analysis that we have to submit in january.
A lot of people didn't get theirs back because there was some sort of a mixup at the student office. I thought mine was among those.

Anyway, he calls me up to the front and my heart leaps thinking 'oh god he thinks i've plagerised or something' and the worry of that only increased when he had my work in hand.

Well, long story short, it turned out he'd saved it because he wanted me to present it to the whole class (our class is massive), Before I did this, he gave me alot of praise - he said that my submission was 'by far' the best amongst 60 turned in papers! He said that it was a model example of a successful short story, and that i'm a fellow student and that if I can do it, so can they. I was beaming.

I was totally embarrassed, especially when I stood at the front and read it aloud, but I got a really big round of applause at the end and quite a few people had questions/comments.

I work hard on my writing skills and i'm just really proud that it paid off.

Sitting down and resting is awesome! I'm waiting until I get off work to nap. :p

This weekend I got to see my sister (who lives 8 hours away) AND my best friend I haven't seen in three years (he's in the Marines) !!!!
And I fell in love with this amazing Irish little lad named Mathew, we spent the entire saturday night laying together and talking about our lives.
    It was a wonderful weekend!

I am very happy because my mom has unpacked her Grease: The Movie ornament. :D It's a mini of the movie theater in the movie on one side, and on the other it shows holographic stills of the movie. You press a button and it plays the Grease soundtrack. The goofy expression mom gets on her face when she hears those songs makes my day. :D:)

I am happy because Tobin is still doing amazingly, and the last few days have just been fantastic!

Dan's parents got here Saturday and we are all getting along really well. They are just amazing! They help out so much and even take the kids out so I can get a break. Yesterday they took Amity to Margaret River for the day, was a nice break.

Also, Mase is doing fantastic with his swimming lessons. He is overcoming his fear of the water quickly. He puts his face in the water and actually tries to swin now, after 2 lessons!!! WHOOHOO!

Friday we are off to Perth and will be staying up there for the weekend and taking Dan's parents to the Zoo. Will be a really fun weekend, tiring, but loads of fun.

Oh! And I am almost back into a size 6/7. I was in a size 8 after a week, size 7/8 after 2 and 6/7 after 3. Although I still weigh over 50 kilograms. So at least I'm keeping the weight on, but toning my body. :)

It's been a fantastic 3 and a half weeks. Tobin is even sleeping better now. We got 3 hours solid sleep lastnight which was fantastic. Life really couldn't be any better right now. :)

    Cheers cog^

My course tutor for creative writing sent me an email today about my short story. He said that there's a design student putting together a literary magazine who is looking for short stories to illustrate and include in the magazine.

He said he "strongly advises" me to contact her, and let him know how I get on.
Oh, and he also told me to assert my copyright.

This is so cool!! The opportunities that come about at uni are wonderful...If this all goes through, it's another thing to put on my CV/mention when I send off submissions.

    Wohooo!! :D

After an exhausting week, I can happily report that I am 3/4 of the way to my fundraising goal. And with thanksgiving with the family coming up, I'm hopeful that I can beat it by next Friday. :D

Well done Emily. That is really fantastic news. :)

I am happy because lastnight Dan and his father went out for drinks at our local bar. When they got back and we all went to bed, Dan told me that the whole time they were there, his father went on and on about how wonderful the kids and I were. I don't care if they like me or not, but it warms my heart to know that they think my oldest two (who aren't Dan's children) are wonderful and to know that they love them as much as they love Tobin. :)
