I just finished Stephen Kings Under The Dome, now im reading Dan Browns The Lost Symbol, Harlan Cobens Just One Look, and also Katherine Ramslands C.S.I EFFECT.
Charlotte Bronte - The Spell - really good, I like it Clare Layton - Those Whome the Gods Love - Hmmm
Just check the range and price of books available before buying any hardware like that. I have a Sony eReader lying dormant because none of the books I want are available in eBook form. I don't know about the Kindle, but it has had some negative feedback for books being deleted after purchase. This probably belongs in a new thread, but I'm not sure where -- I expect Cog will be along in a moment to tell us.
I read a lot. And lately, like in my past I read more than one book at a time. My reading list is as follows; Colin Powell - My American Journey Loamhedge by Brian Jacques Mass Effect Ascension by Drew Karpyshyn Dragons of a Fallen Sun by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman Typically i read one chapter or five pages of one and move onto the next. Has anyone read these? What did you think of it?
Still reading Sophie's Choice by Styron, and recently finished Spiritwalker: Messages from the Future by Wesselman. I also borrowed from the library, The Sky is Everywhere by J. Nelson. It's on a little device called a Playaway that's about the size of an Ipod, or maybe smaller, about a couple ounces, and is pre-loaded with the audio book. It looks like this:
Comtemparery British Poetry and Gravity's Rainbow. Just finished a collection of poems by T.S. Eliot.
Chrome Yellow by Aldus Huxley The Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man - James Joyce Slouching Towards Bethlehem - Joan Didion Along with the infinite journey into the collections of Blake and Yeats.
Just finished with Frank Herbert's Dune. I was very impressed by it and enjoy his writing style. Read half of Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl today, I'll finish it tomorrow. Can't say I care for it much, but I think this is because I'm too old. Still has some redeeming qualities to enjoy in it though, so I continue reading it. For the next few weeks I'll be continuing my study from the Norton Anthology of American Literature: Volume E and also reading the second and third books of Frank Herbert's Dune series (they're combined in the book I have). Lots on my pallet to enjoy. =]
I really want to read Dune and it's sequels, but I just haven't got around to them yet. And on Artemis Fowl... I like the series, but it's nothing special. I've read all five or six of them, and I'm sorta looking forward to the next one in July, but it's never caught my attention like Harry Potter.
I just finished two Harlan Coben books last week (The Woods, No Second Chance) and now im trying again to read A Clockwork Orange which is really good but a tough read because of the made-up slang
I read Chrome Yellow! Still don't know really what to make of it. I loved a Clockwork Orange too *points at her clockwork orange hoodie. nerd alert!!* I'm reading Dancer by Colum McCann and can I just say I find it exhilarating and I don't want it to end!!
Clockwork Orange hoodie?! That's sick, you should post a picture and make me ten times more jealous of you haha.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I know I'm a bit behind, but I'm going through them all for the first time. They're quite entertaining.
