Spoiler "MERCY." "Say it again." "MERCY!" "One more time..." "MEEEERCYYYYYY!" *two minutes later* "Where's the Dalek?" "It died." River Song is Badass.
Wow, Emily, that's so great of your parents to give you that choice. It's going to be a hard decision of course, but that's so great that your parents trust and respect you enough to come to that decision on your own. I have some friends going to university this year; one girl got into Dartmouth College, but her parents wont let her go because they want her to attend a college where she could live at home so they can keep tabs on her! Good luck with your decision! Just be sure to make the right decision for you and you alone.
I agree with Merc; wow, Em, that's great! You're hugely smart, so whatever you choose, it'll be the right decision; I'm happy that your parents gave you that choice. Mine never would.
Spoiler Completely agree she is my favorite now. That was also on my top ten best moments ever on Doctor Who. Note both are Doctor Who spoilers don't peek if you haven't seen the finale! I'm positively green with envy.
I spent the whole day reading fanfiction. A very, very good one in particular. It's been years since I've done that. And it feels refreshing to get back to an old fondness, comforting like a familiar, well-worn book.
I had a grand day of just 'being' today! .Got up before noon, for once. .Read loads! Almost finished The Lovely Bones, and thought 'what the heck!' and decided to read my 3rd Charlaine Harris book. It's such an easy ready I'm halfway through already. .Walked my doggy in the wonderful sunshine, and watched her make friends with another doggy. .Ate yummy instant noodles that only cost 19p. That's just wicked...I've been obsessed with noodles lately. .Watched make-up tutorials on youtube and felt all girlified. .Randomly decided to do some gardening, and sewed some seeds in a big pot. Hopefully they'll be pretty flowers. .Lounged around outside/with family and doggy all day. .Had long chats with Matt on the phone about books, TV, writing, and vampires. I know it's just normal stuff, but I had a really nice day. I felt productive, which is good for me, because all this time off has just made me feel like a real waster. The downside is, however, that I couldn't make time to write today. I did read loads though, which is just as important.
Aww I wish I could. Take pics and share them please! I love old buildings. How cute. Kittens are adorable. I have an MRI tomorrow. I'm really nervous about it but at least I will be wonked out on meds and sleep for the two hrs I'm in that sweaty tube. haha
Man, I just got asked out by my one guy friend Ray (hah in a very understated 'guy asking a guy' kind of way). Going for coffee tomorrow. I'm excited, this will be my first date ever with someone who takes who I am seriously.
I'm happy cause I finally went to see the dentist... I'm not going to explain the entire story, but I'll have a tooth pulled on saturday... hopefully that'll be the end of all this pain!
My room is clean. Not a very productive day on my part, but there are few things in life better than a clean-looking, clean-smelling room.
I'm watching the sun setting. The sky is pink and purple. There's a giant tree that looks black against the pink and purple sky, and it's just so pretty, I think I'll need to take a photo. It feels nice outside, and I'm listening to one of my favourite songs, "Crash into Me" by Dave Matthews Band. I have a doggy at my feet, and today I woke up to find myself at my lowest weight of the year (see the fitness thread), and I feel pretty. I cleaned my room (above post) while watching National Treasure 2 and The Bourne Ultimatum (yeah, it took that long to clean my room) and found money which is awesome, and my room smells like Lysol and Pledge dust spray, which is a nice alternative to what it smelled like a few hours ago. It has been a simple, but fulfilling day.
It always seems to work out that way, doesnt it? Or maybe that's just me and Jacklondonsghost. Either way, yay for JLG, because even sort-ofs are improvements from Singletown!
Me too. Well, for a time. lol Things are definitely solid now. It took three months for one of us to say anything though. hahaha
I finally found a good name for my scifi short story. The Sword of Nemesis. Now if only I could figure out why I love using Nemesis so much.
