Eh...I did and I didn't. I got along really well with most of my coworkers in Arizona, and we did pretty well sales-wise so while I had to put up with doing almost all of the work, I at least had the luxury of doing it in a pleasant working environment. Here, I have more people who are willing to help with the work, but every time I go to work, I feel like I'm back in junior high. Half the employees don't like the other half, and it seems like most of my coworkers spend their day either talking crap about other coworkers or complaining about how much they hate working there. There are a couple other things going on that I'd rather not post, but I really think I could deal with the other issues if I didn't have to deal with nonstop b*tching all day. I feel thirteen years old all over again. xx I saw your post on FB about the headphones and cheered to myself. I hope you enjoy your relaxation time!
I'm excited. Today, I'm having my senior pictures done at my favorite place in the whole world. The Minister's Treehouse. Ahhh, I'm excited. And I get to go with Keedy B.
Last night was District Prelims and I went out in my fastest time yet for my first 50 (a 0:37) and finished in my best time ever (1:20:82 I believe). Within my heat i was seeded last/6th and I ended up getting 3rd!! It was awesome! It was sop amazing to be able to go and be a part of disctricts even if i didn't make the finals
I have gotten so much done today, I feel fulfilled. And my articles for the school newspaper, one in particular, are AMAZING. I'm proud of the effort I poured into them.
Nice job, both of you! I bought a new camera today, and I sketched a tattoo for my sister that she loved. Yay me!
Probably. I don't think she's 100% decided on whether or not she's going to get it or not, but she started toying with the idea of getting a tattoo commemorating something, and I offered to sketch her an idea I had for it. I'm adding color to it, so she can see what it would look like as more than just a basic sketch, but judging by her reaction to the original sketch, she'll most likely get it.
Sweet. I have a coworker who's getting an entire sleeve on her right arm. She's almost done. Has a whole Hawaiian themed flower arrangement going.
Tomorrow, tomorrow, TOMORROW CONAN COMES BACK!!!!! 9 months of waiting and anticipation and torture and it's HERE!!!!!
Gigi, I'm out of the loop. Conan? But if that's in this thread then that must be happy news. *dances around the room with Gigi* Now tell me just who he is .
I'm sure Gigi could offer a much better explanation, since at the moment she's going all Conan themed. He's a funny, funny comedian, who was given the "bump" by NBC, meaning he was literally dropped from the slot where his "Late Night Show" was set. After months of waiting, he's finally gotten another show. He's a great guy! I love him!
Oh! That Conan? I thought it was her guy or something . Lol, great news. I'm glad for the people who watch his show and him too .
Well, yeah. She's got him plastered all over her profile. Really great guy, though. He had class all through the whole argument, which was quite public. EDIT: I'm not rocking his new beard, however.
Oh, I'll have to look him up on youtube tomorrow then. I had to google his bearded pic. He looks like guys in my class look when they're trying to impress girls by looking cool with their facial hair. Totally the opposite .
haha I mean exactly! Facial hair is not so good. Alright, I'll admit it, there was this close family friend of mine that I had a crush on. But we're friends, so anything more doesn't seem much of an option. Anyway, he went away to college in another state, and when he returned for Thanksgiving, he had grown a beard, much like Conan's, and was sporting a pair of nerdy black glasses. I always knew he was kind of a nerd, but I didn't like the beard. Oh, well. He is a nice guy.
Hey- easy on the beards. I'm not trying to impress anyone, I just don't like shaving and have been told that I look better with scruff. If I shave I look like I'm 16.
Same. But I've been told I must shave by my tutors on my course, as it's 'unprofessional' to have a pretty scratty beard. So right now, I look bloodily 14.
Warning: Quite long. Spoiler Hello, forumers. I know I've not been on much recently, because I've been involved in a hell of a lot of training for my new job (Working at the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company (Basically, biggest and most well-known theatre in England (EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE)))) and I've just finished working seventeen days straight. I'm tired. Now the Royal Shakespeare Theatre has been undergoing a complete renovation and restoration for the last five years and has been closed the whole time, with shows being performed in the nearby Courtyard Theatre. However, the event today that we've been training for was the licensing event, which would decide whether or not the New Theatre would gain its license to perform and, y'know, not be a waste of millions of pounds and probably spell the end of the entire company. Effectively, everything that the Company has done for the last five years coming to a head. It's a very exciting time. However, this is a Happy Post, so you can probably guess where this is going. What this event entailed is filling the entire theatre (actually, technically there are two theatres in the same building, the RST and The Swan theatre) and then evacuate them as fast as possible three times, so that the Fire Department would conclude that it was safe to allow the theatre to perform. I should clarify, this came to around 1,800 people entering the building and then being evacuated, which basically encapsulates my entire job. The first time, we evactuated the entire theatre in ninety seconds. Ninety. Bloody. Seconds. So yeah, we got the license (the announcement of which involved the Artistic Director of the entire company standing on a chair in the middle of a crowd of 200 people and banging two bottles of wine together) and then we had a massive impromtu party in the Courtyard Theatre (making heavy use of the glowsticks that the FOH staff has been given to make themselves seen) and I met one of my favourite actors ever, David Warner. Spoiler SARK! After the party, we all headed over to The Dirty Duck, the pub across the road from the RSC (where all RSC staff get 25% off EVERYTHING) and I had a gammon steak and fudge cake for tea. not at the same time. Then I met David Warner again. I've made so many new friends in the last two weeks though, it's incredible! And they're all new, so we're actually really close now even though we've only known each other for two weeks! Then I walked home, with glowsticks arranged strategically around my tux. Best night that I've had in a very long time. Also, I have sideburns now. Like, proper sideburns.
No-Shave November, best month of the year, am I right? Edit: Hey there, Xeno. Had been wondering where you'd been off to; glad your life has been filled with lovely experiences lately!
@Robert-Thou art an exception of course! @Emily-Aww, all the best. Hope it goes/went fine. @Dan-Should I scream . Happy for you. Making new friends is always the best thing! Me, I'm going to school today after one looooooong week. Sounds weird, but I'm happy .
