I prefer to find a new job before I give notice at the old one. Maybe that isn't possible in the line of work you're in, but I'd suggest considering it if you can.

Or some plans to go back to school. That's what I had to do. There was no way I'd be able to finish a degree still working my old job. It just took too much out of my time and energy.

I had a few really bad jobs who quitting more or less was the only sane thing to do. ( I was working as a personal assistant for the disabled, which can be anything from heavenly to hellish.)

I sure you got your reason and if you ambitious and driven you can always find some job.

I'm interested in somefrom from the US can tell me what just happened as I'm sure it was on the news over there?

I'll check. Give me a few minutes. It doesn't sound good.

EDIT: Apparently, the "missile" came from the ocean near the coast of a Pacific Island.

No one has an explanation. NORAD said they are confident that it was not fired by a foreign military, and since it was seen yesterday evening in the skies above Los Angelos, the Pentagon has had almost a full day to explain. Nothing yet. :(

Quotes from a quote off site. (There is a video showing him say this though)

A LOT of people on this site i visit, are very sure its just a plane contrail. And there appears to be for a very short moment a flash of red and green. Which means a plane :D

I just find it strange why the big guns, don't just come out and say something like, "Ah its a plane" even if they have no idea. its ridiculous.

I love it when the big guns get egg on their face.

Really a lol moment, in my opinion.

LOL Good. I would loath the idea that the Gov't really couldn't explain what it was or worse was hiding something. Good sleuthing.

As i do type that, Fox news ( hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *breath* hahahahahahahaaha) Are still saying it's was a missile, as UK Sky news and CBS.

IF it WAS a plane, i'm hoping they can provide us with details on which plane it was, which after Sep 11, they should have no problem, telling us.

There are also rumours of top secret training that went slightly wrong.

    This is absolute BS!

Edit - The reason this freaked me out is because two weeks ago, the US lost contact (Computer wise) with 50 (of the 300/350 i believe) Nuke's for an hour.

That definitely isn't good. They can't always be on top of things. It is inevitable unfortunately. :( Still think it's the best country (because I do live here).

When "things" are enough weapons of mass destruction to annihilate our entire species, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect them to be on top of it 24/7 and then some...

Speedy and I were talking about the "missile" anomaly over Los Angeles last evening that scared many people, and left Pentagon officials scratching their heads. The missile trail is now thought to have been nothing more than the contrail of a passenger jet. I’ll be the first admit that the U.S. doesn't always have the best management on some of its responsibilities at times, but when it comes to nuclear weapons, we better hope they have control. The last thought we need weighing on our minds is about North Korea and nuclear development. I'm sorry, Arron, I have to disagree.

Oh, I was talking about the US losing contact with 50 of its own nuclear weapons (which Speedy mentioned in his last post).

Also, I'm not sure what we disagree about? Except that it's Iran, not North Korea, that is the most pressing concern at the moment...

ha ha I think I did misunderstand, maybe didn't read it well, sorry . Yes, it was not good at all that the US lost the contact. It's not good to lose sight of any weapons. Okay, now I feel like a dork.

To put that in perspective, arron, the US lost the ability to LAUNCH those weapons for half an hour. The only danger is that if someone else launched a first strilke against the US during that time, it would have been unable to respond ib full force.

    All good.

    Also, this:

    (from Gawker)

    Aaaaaaaaawesome.

Edit: Oh. The newspaper I read left that bit out. I guess 'America still hasn't started a nuclear war' isn't as gripping a headline.

huh? That's strange. How is that possible? I didn't think something could be hotter than the sun. I'm sorry I'm skeptical.

Plenty of things can be hotter than our sun, which has a surface temperature of only about 6000 degrees Celsius--other stars have temperatures of up to about 30,000 degrees. Nuclear explosions and other kinds of reactions achievable in labs (like the one at CERN) are capable of reaching billions (and now, trillions) of degrees.

I've noticed that WF's hiccuped a lot lately and created a slew of double posts for a lot of people...

Does anyone else have the problem with blog comments always trying to double post? Every time I make a comment in a blog, my own or someone else's, I always get an error that says I'm only allowed to post once every 15 seconds. I only pushed the post button once! When I check, my comment was posted, too.

Always wondered if I was the only one... =\

^ That always happens to me when I post a comment on a blog. I just figured it was a glitch or just an automatic notice or something.

I just never hit 'post' twice. If it's taking too long I copy my text and refresh the page. If my post didn't make it, then I post again.

Never have issues with double posting that way.

Yeah, it happens to me too. I just wait the fifteen seconds out and it magically straightens itself. I don't know if it's just the Vista I use, but double posting on regular threads has been happening all the time. Never used to before.

It's not your Vista, I use XP and still have problems.

I only push post button once, it just always tries to post the same message twice.

That's what I do, too. Today, though, my internet in general seems to be sucking, and I've had like four double posts...but I've only hit post once.

Joel and I were driving home from Toys R Us just now, and a cop pulled up next to us at a light. Light changed to green, we started driving, and he lagged behind us...followed us through two lights...into our apartment complex...and drove past our apartment twice while we were outside.

That was a little bit freaky.
