I figured you would like that. I'm just trying to orchestrate a game between the Packers and my beloved Toronto Maple Leafs I don't even care which sport (we'll lose either way)
I'm joking. Mostly. It's been a long 5 years for Leafs fans. It takes special talent to spend half a decade in the basement when you're the richest/most popular team in the league.
England has as much chances of winning as this forum has with fixing up its double posts. Whoever performs better between, English batemsn, and Aussie bowlers, will make the difference. I'm going to put $1,000 on England tomorrow before the game. (Series win). You won't find more than a dozen Australians thinking we wil win. So don't expect much care factor. Ponting and our selectors suck, period.
England are in bad shape for this test. Day 2 and three will be the best batting conditions too. Least Bell is in top form.
The Pats won and it was one of the best Thanksgivings. But Uncle Al's Cowboys lost. So the day was bitter-sweet. I know he must have been cryin' last night. Darn. . .
I adore Nadal. He won against Berdych, yay, but now faces Murray in the semis. Torn between who to support, I guess either way it's a good result.
So the sounders lost Sanna Nyassi and Nathan Sturgis to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the expansion draft. Both are very good players. I'm sad to lose both, but I'm especially sad to lose Sturgis as he is one of my favorite players...
Great first (extended too) session for Australia. 109 runs, 0 wickets. Highlights - (Apart from Hussey and Haddin), Anderson. The man bowled red hot, yet just couldn't get the break though. England suffering after bad referrals decisions. And that missed catch. Australia still need another 100 in my opinion. Batting last, they don't want to chase more than 150.
Off to bed now. We're been bobbins apart from the Anderson spell. Maybe me stopping watching will bring about a reversal in fortunes. Haddin treading on a wicket, Hussey handling the ball, anything.
Huddersfield Town 6-0 Macclesfield Town Town through to the third round of the FA Cup with a ridiculously straightforward win, in which six different players got the goals. And it should have been more: Town had a stonewall penalty appeal turned down, while Rhodes and Afobe both missed two sitters apiece and Kay, Johnson and Pilkington all went close. It could - and perhaps should - have been 12 or 13-0.
Despite having practically a home crowd on the road, the Leafs managed to get shutout by the lowly Ottawa Senators. The Leafs have been shut out 5 times this season, which is roughly a quarter of their games played. They may well set records in goal scoring failure. The only good news? This brings us one day closer to the departures of Ron Wilson and Brian Burke. In tennis news, we finally get Federer/Nadal, in the last match of the season Hopefully Murray will bounce back from his disappointing season with an Australian Open win in a couple of monthes.
That game was like the ending of the Boise State vs Nevada game. Chance after chance to win the game, but BYU (like Boise) blew it.
You couldn't make this stuff up. when I went to sleep last night, I was sure England had lost the first test of the Ashes. I wake up to one of the most spectacular comebacks I've seen in cricket.
I hope Murray bounces back too! Alas, Nadal was runner up. Darn you, Federer. And Man.Utd beat Blackburn 7-1 yesterday, hoorah.
I am NOT HAPPY about this loss. Such a CLOSE GAME, such an IMPORTANT GAME, and we lose. There is a bitter taste in my mouth. Our running game was dreadful. When our QB is our passing and running game, THAT'S NOT GOOD. I'm hugely proud of our offense, and Rodgers especially, for coming back so late to tie it. Rodgers was dynamite, running and passing was great, and the offense was on fire after a slow start. Our defense did pretty good with stopping Atlanta, although there were times they should've done better than they did. We played with a ton of heart, and that's what I'm proud of. Just angry we couldn't get the job done. I seriously hope da Bears lose, even more than I usually do.
