Have I mentioned recently how awesome my girlfriend is? After spending two days with her in London, not doing a great deal, I feel so very happy just from spending time with her. I love her so much :)

Good stuff Banzai. I'm in a really cheery mood tonight. I had an amazing evening with my girlfriend yesterday. Work was good today and I got a movie and a drink tonight with an old friend. I got a free ticket to a great sports game at the weekend and am going to have a big reunion with a load of my old friends who have moved away.

Sounds like life is going well indeed :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that yesterday, TTA Press (publishers of Black Static and Interzone- the premier horror and sci-fi magazines, respectively, in the UK) selected a flash fiction piece I posted on my blog, to link to for the 16th day of their advent calender :D

If you want to check it out, you can find the story on my external blog, or linked to on the TTA Press website (you can find it on google).

My depression phase passed on the 1st December and I'm finally getting help for my BPD :). Life should finally start getting back on track.

    Awesome :)

I'm happy because I spent an hour and a half cleaning the house... but because it's finally clean. :D

Whoop! I had a really good evening a the joint Christmas do of Maidenhead and Windsor CLPs, despite being by a long way the youngest person there. And tomorrow I'm gonna be in Maidenhead town centre helping the party campaign and hand out flyers.

    Home! :D
Quite lucky I am considering there were no trains from London running to here, but thankfully my neighbour was in the same situation as me and his dad came and picked us up.

Idiots on the internet make me happy with their self-important and attention-whoring behavior.

    Why?

Because it is good to be reminded of how far one can fall, on occasion. ;)

You are ridiculous, I am sorry. Maybe if you knew every website I went to, all my Facebook activity and everything such as that, you would be qualified to comment on this.

The above comment is not directed at you. I voiced my thoughts to you over PM and as you pointed out, you weren't going to read any other ones I sent. Therefore, this comment is not directed at yourself. It isn't even about this forum.

If you want the link to the discussion this is about, I will gladly link it to you but since it is on my Facebook and my facebook is private (friends-only) I doubt that would make a difference.

My mistake! :) Carry on, carry on.

Still happy, my supposed absurdity and idiocy isn't going to bring me down!

I'm going to look a fool if this doesn't happen as I think it will, but I've had a story accepted by a magazine and placed on the shortlist for their next couple of issues :D

There isn't any guarantee that it will be published, but it has been sort of accepted, and that's a pretty massive achievement. So to celebrate I wrote 1,300 words of a new story :)

After 3 weeks of no band practice (weather/illness) we finally got back together and jammed on Friday. Had a small audience this time too for some feedback.
It was a great release. I needed that quite badly, I think.

My confidence was once again boosted by some great compliments. Finally getting the last of the phlegm out was like being freed from shackles vocally so I was extra enthusiastic that night. Hit some high notes I'm not sure I've ever even tried to hit before. The communal jaw-drops were enough to make me feel warm inside for the rest of the night.

The bassist commented that he needed a cigarette after that- and he doesn't even smoke!

I'm happy because the Packers still have a chance at the playoffs and I feel better than I did this morning. :)

Presents bought, wrapped and under/by the tree. I feel so organised. I usually wouldn't have even started Christmas shopping by now. And I've stuck to the days with my Advent calendar (I usually eat all the chocolates in the first couple of days..). :)
