I'm happy for LOTS of reasons today!! I got a job! Super exciting! And... I have an interview for an internship with the March of Dimes. Which is an awesome organization that has helped save thousands of babies' lives. Oh, and to top it all off, I got just what I needed for Keedy's birthday present.
Just played some Red Dead Redemption. Oh, how I missed the game. *Takes John Marston to a clearing and is suddenly attacked by an army of 10 wolves* %@#^!!! Quick, Mr. Marston!! XD All in all, I'm just chilling out, hunting/selling animal pelts to a general store. Haven't even completed half of the New Austin missions.
I'm happy because I finally got back in the groove with revising a novel that I finished a month ago and haven't touched since. I figured out how to fix all my plot holes and basically redo certain subplots, so the finished work will be completely different. I copy/pasted the entire thing into a new word doc so I can make huge chops without regretting it later, and I'm getting loads done. Really liking the way it's fleshing out. Also, I'm finally going to see Black Swan on Friday -- I've been wanting to see it but way too busy.
Congrats on the job, Emily! And Mallory, yay for working on novels. I've been getting closer to a new friend lately and discovered she's a writer as well. I talked to her about one short story I finished a while back that still doesn't feel like it's done to me. I want to elaborate on it. She read it and is giving me a bit of advice, so I'm working on my shorts again. And I'm so jealous that you're seeing Black Swan. I've been dying to see it too, and we ordered tickets (and canceled them) three different times because each of the three of us has had an unexpected thing come up. At this rate, we may just have to wait for it to come out on DVD! And Speedy... ehm, that's inexpensive? Hmm, thank you for linking me anyway!
I got a car! This means that I can drive to places without having to borrow and, much more importantly, I no longer have to tolerate the horrendous radio stations! I swear if I have to hear Porn Star Dancing one more time I'll kill a kitten!
I think I should call myself happy to never have heard that song (I'm guessing it's a song?) and if you have to kill a kitten... not Stella, please.
Now there's something to be happy about! Fairly pleased myself as, on the sporting front, the Town have re-signed Danny Cadamarteri on a short-term deal. Dead chuffed. I loved his attitude and tenacity when he was with us first time around.
The social issues i was having seemed to have worked out, i don't know which way this will all flow but I'm no longer flooded with fear.
I just found a poem I wrote back in 2006, titled My Famous Family. It is a dark comedy piece, and while it needs a bit of work done to it, I still love the poem so much. So glad I finally found it!
I love finding poems or stories or whatever I wrote years ago- awesome! I'm happy cause I'm just having a relaxed morning... had breakfast, drank coffee (yes, coffee!), took a shower, and now I'm just sitting here internetting and I think I'm going to eat an orange.
Just woke up after a 10-hour sleep. After 9 hours in the previous 2 nights, it's quite a nice feeling. And I don't have to be in uni until 4 either. Plus probably seeing a girl in the evening
Sounds like that's gonna be a good day. I think it's funny when people on the phone mistake me for my mom. They're like: "Yeah, so I'll mail it to your husband." Me: "Okay, I'll be sure to tell him." One time (few years ago) I got really confused myself, though. Old woman: "Mrs. Bauwens... I need to ask you about your sons." Me: "Umm... yeah." Old woman: "You have sons don't you?" Me:"Yes, I do." *silence* Me:"Um, I mean, no, I don't, see..."
OK, so didn't get to go for a drink with this girl, but it's mostly because I didn't ask because she already mentioned she was having a busy evening before I got the chance. Been a pretty good day, though. Managed to get all my work done apart from one bundle. No more prep needed for either Rodoc or Criminal Practice.
I'm happy to see all the happy news. And I'm happy because after some BS back and forth with our loud upstairs neighbor (who claims the noise isn't coming from him and says that he is at work until 1 AM, even though we clearly hear someone coming up the stairs into his apartment at 10 PM, which is when the noise starts), we went and talked to management again. We're moving into a different apartment! It's upstairs, so hopefully it won't be so loud, and it's a two bedroom instead of one.
I see you're preparing for me coming to visit. No, that's cool, Heather! Hopefully it's nice and quiet.
Yes, ma'am! I'm probably going to use the second room as an 'office,' but I want to make sure there's enough space for guests to sleep there, too. I hope so, too! I think the biggest problem with the noise now is that the guy obviously doesn't think that he's doing anything wrong, so he's not going to change. With any luck, our new neighbors will be better.
Haha I don't think there are any three floor building in our complex, sadly. :/ One of the open units the manager was looking up for us was right next to his, though, and she was like "ooh...probably don't want to put you there."
its 7;45am and it only feels near 30 degrees (C). Awesome, considering it'll be 50 within 5 hours. So im enjoying the coolness right now.
Seriously? Near 30 ain't cool man, that's hot! Sod that kind of heat, I'll stick with the 30's thanks. lol! That's great news Hidden! Woooohooo! Time to party, yes?
Ohhhh yeah. Now that I'm thinking about it, though, I'm worried that we'll be the loud neighbors. I do workouts on my skates in the apartment... I'll just have to keep it down. Speedy, try not to roast to death!
