    :eek:HOLY SH(eep)!!!

The worst experience I had with roaches is discovering first hand that they can live for weeks without a head.

I'd take creepy clown dolls any day over this. At least I know the clown dolls are inanimated and can't hurt me.

For real man..........the only roach I've seen that even came close in size was one that was maybe 3 inches long that had crawled out of the air conditioning vent in my bathroom. That was.......horrible. Thankfully, someone else was there, so I could run out of the bathroom sobbing like "please deal with this" haha....I'm a wuss when it comes to cockroaches...they're my only phobia not related to some serious trauma/concern. Seriously, I've always been totally okay with spiders, snakes, rodents, whatever....but as soon as it's cockroaches...NO.

I agree. I can deal with ghosts, snakes, rodents, creepy clowns, dolls, etc. I don't mind spiders or other insects, but the moment a roach shows up, I'm all

    "OMFG KILL IT! KILL IIIITT!!!"

Ugh...We need a happy picture to lighten the mood, so here's a llama.

Aww...cute llama. Now it's my avatar picture.

This. All of this. Good luck, I hope you find a way to keep in contact with him.

Urrrrgh, roaches! When we got home from the bout Saturday night, there was one in our bathroom...in trying to kill it, we discovered that there's a little hole on the floor where the counter meets the wall, and apparently they're coming in through there. Ew ew ew ew ew.

It's weird that you and Banzai are both back at university tomorrow, I don't go back for another two weeks. >.> Not complaining mind, although when I go back it's going to be pretty pointless and mostly just collecting marked assessments.

Hope it's nothing serious and that you cheer up soon.

    Mallory: Urgh, that sounds horrible.

Link the Writer: Aww, that was a cute llama.

My financial aid money STILL hasn't come in... I'm containing my temper, but I think I might go all hulk on these people if they don't figure it out.

Sorry to hear that, Bay. Hopefully they'll get it all sorted out. Damn Bureaucrats.

Thanks. Normally I know this but eventually you're sick for so long you forget what is sickness and what's just you.

So I just completely failed this morning. The school "lost" me, called my parents, got them worried sick, and now, I'm expecting to be yelled at when I get home. If only the stupid school would get their things straight and quit separating the seniors, it wouldn't have happened. That is my "rant" of the day.

I have just been reading something I've been working on for the past couple of months - a sonnet - and words cannot describe how depressed it got me. I think it's awful, and I don't know which is more upsetting: if it is as awful as I think it is, or the thought that it might be worse and I am just being kind to myself because of a lack of talent/skill in editing.

If you weren't good, you wouldn't see the--probably very slight--flaws. Just think of all the geniuses who have ripped up their manuscripts/scores/artworks. You're in elevated company.

That's a good way to look at it. Thanks.
I am told I can be hard on myself. Even by my creative writing teacher.

I don't know, as a kid I had a hanging picture of Elmo flying on those old one-person shooter planes from World War II times. And man, I was so scared of him, even though he didn't speak or anything. Just flew in silence and stared at me. *shudders*

Definitely nothing serious, but I appreciate the concern. Just simple college issues and girlfriend troubles. I'll survive.

Matchmaking systems in video games (League of Legends) suck. Just saying.

This seems more likely. I get the impression from your posts around the forum that you're a pretty good writer, so I'd hazard a guess that it's more self-consciousness and being hard on yourself than any real major flaws.

Course, I haven't seen the piece, so I could be wrong, but I highly doubt that it's awful.

Aimi_Aiko - Wow. That sucks. I hated high school...so bureaucratic....Trust me, you'll like college better, there they don't do stupid stuff like that.

Hidden - seal up the hole? Use some duct tape or something.

So basically my mom is a raging psychopath who has nothing better to do with her life than scream at everyone for no good reason. And then she complains about how stressed out she is. Never mind how much stress she puts on us.

I'm going to call our complex manager and have them send someone out to do that, then have someone come spray for bugs.

Do you still live at home? Hopefully she'll get better after you move out, if so...

I'm that way with bees. Bees freak me out. And it just so happened that yesterday morning a GIANT wood bee crawled down the chimney through the hole in the flue and was buzzing around my room. I took off upstairs and waited for my dad to get back before going back down. Sadly he's terrified too, but the two of us got the door open and it flew out.

I had a hard time sleeping last night. I can't help but think the chimney is infested with wood bees now. *shivers*

Oh no! o_O And yeah, that sounds like how I'd react to a roach.....but it's highly unlikely your chimney is infested. Bees like outside. Right? :)

Bees have to build nests somewhere. I don't know why else a wood bee would crawl down a dark, cold chimney... Flowers don't grow in the dark or the cold...

I don't know about you, but I find that rather cool looking. Was Elmo doing the usual grin thing or did he have a scary expresion on him?

@ Mallory, Its just about that time when big roaches, waterbugs or whatever start crawling out the sewers or something, because here in the close knit slum of homes they appear every spring/summer, and I also got a thing about roaches...:(

I come from a well-off family. I'm attractive, I'm smart, my college career is on track. I have parents who love me, and a few friends who I think care about me.

But I'm still unhappy. Everything I see I immediately try and decipher what is wrong with it, where the bull**** lies.

-Go to class? No, Its meaningless. I can learn more myself with a book and 2 hours of Wikipedia.

-I meet someone? I can tell they're fake, no point in even trying.

-Someone is successful? All they seem to do is brag about it, and only the the soulless live through their success.

-Are they friendly and have lots of friends? Then they're dumb and ignorant, for sheep are the animals with the most company.

When I'm introduced to anything new in my environment, my first thought-process is to try and decipher its dark and negative motivation or meaning. It is like this everyday, and everyday I say how stupid and backward that thinking is. I do it anyway, no matter what I tell myself; always negative...negative...negative. What's the point if my mind is beyond my control?

    and..........end rant.

At least you aren't a kool-aid drinker who blindly follows the bull*** like other people.

At least you're intelligent, independent and self-driven.

At least you aren't one of those people who only has shallow friendships and who's always constantly getting duped by fake people.

At least you can recognize conceited, arrogant people for what they are. (Although most successful people are happy and don't brag...try to seek them out!)

At least you can recognize the people who blindly follow the crowd.

If you're always depressed, maybe you should talk to someone, but I can see plenty of reasons to be proud of yourself. You're an individual, independent and precautious of your surroundings, and these types often have a seemingly tough time.
