Woo, Man.Utd won 2-1 against Chelsea. Come on Nadal, you can beat Djokovic! Even if you are losing at the moment. >.>
Chelsea are absolutely useless. One thing, they had to do; beat Man Utd. And they couldn't even do it. Morons.
^ I feel your pain. The Brewers are at a 14-20 record right now and don't seem to understand how to play a complete game of baseball. :/
A dreadful night for Boston fans. Lackey wasn't a complete surprise for me. His pitching has always been average (or below). But I was really hoping for a miracle with the Celtics. Enemy territory is never easy to play in though. That's one team down and two remaining. The Sox are in the middle of the division which is nice, considering the leapfrogging that's been going on. And the Bruins are scheduled for the first game next sat. Now, that team is really due a win. 19 years is one heck of a dry spell, even though it can't be compared to 86 years. . .
Padres 13, Brewers 6. We were erasing a big deficit there in the beginning, and I actually though we had a chance.... until we got completely smashed in the later innings.
I'm just waiting for football season to start again when I can watch DA Bears. I've pretty much given up on the Cubbies.
Just want to say good luck to Man Utd on Saturday. We only need 1 point to be crowned champions for the 19th time ... beating Liverpool's record. I'm from Ireland by the way, so I'm aware most of you probably have no interest in this...
For the sake of the franchise, the Sharks must win tonight. Every year I ask how can they choke worse, and this year, against Detroit of all teams, they're trying to find the perfect answer to that question. I'm confident they'll win, because I'd rather not believe in a universe so actively evil as to allow the Redwings to come back from being down 3-0 in a series to win it. Teams I cheer for always lose on my birthday, so that explains game 6. But, they then always come back to win the series. Just don't lose. This week's Sox/Jays series was a huge disappointment
I'm in the same boat -- waiting to see my Packers play again, because the Brewers inspire no faith in me anymore.
I almost bought tickets for that game when I was in the city on Tuesday, then I remembered... 2-1 Sharks. One period to go. Come on guys, you can do this
I'm getting a severe case of the jitters here on the eve of the second series opener against the Yanks. It'll be a hopping Friday night tomorrow. Fans on both sides will be super charged, and hopefully the weather will be agreeable. But I'm a bit uneasy about Buchholz starting. He made fabulous records in his last start against the Twins, but this is the Yankees I'm talking about. And we're playing in their stadium. @agreen, at least you saved yourself the trouble and money. Probably would have put a damper on your birthday. I would have felt that way if it happened to me. Come on, Gi. It's early, and technically your team is only one game behind the Red Sox.
I have a good feeling about the upcoming series against New York. Sharks have done it Now, beat Vancouver in the Battle of the Chokes
That's the spirit! Yeah, it is early, you're right. But I'm not getting my hopes up anymore. I was rooting for them last night, happy to see they won. My dad was rooting for the Red Wings, though -- he's been a fan of theirs for as long as I can remember, although it's more like an "I hope they win" kind-of interest than a watch-every-game thing. I don't watch basketball, but I'm really hoping that the Heat beat the Bulls. I can't stomach any Chicago team winning anything, ever.
lol at least you have a way of escaping the fanaticism. But I'm a diehard fan and I don't really have a choice. Hopes or no hopes, I've always got to believe the evil empire is going down. It's the way of life here in MA, if you know what I mean. Oh yeah!
I live in Wisconsin and I'm a die-hard Cheesehead. I know about ways of life. (Speaking of, I really want this lockout to end, like, now.)
