Keep it up, it's worth it in the end! I hate my job but because I couldn't afford university it's hard for me to get work in any of the creative industries I'd like to be in so finding a new employer is always a nightmare.

Good luck! I'm sure it'll be worth the effort.

As for me, my internet connection keeps being slow and buffering and stuff, and it's annoying. And I need a chocolate fix. I've been resisting all day but now it's not raining anymore, I really am tempted to go and get some.

    I have chocolate, I'll share.

I'm making a shirt for our bout this weekend by combining two shirts. I washed one of them, because I was going to be spraying it with glitter, but I didn't wash the other...now they're two different sizes. Bah.

I just realized the type of book I like. The endurance/survival books about man vs. nature. One person (or a small group) is in a horrible situation and they're gonna get out of it one way or another.

I realized it after watching As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me and almost cried mid-way when the MC got happy when he saw a lone tree after many months in the Siberian landscape as he tried to get away from his Soviet captors back to Germany.

^ I have a DunkinDonuts (open 24/7) right across the street from me. And TacoBell, Subway, Moe's etc all within quick walking distance. :D

I've never been to any of those places but now I want to.
There are two japanese restaurants within walking distance of my office, three chocolate shops on the same street, a shakeaway AND a shop which is wall to wall pic n mix. And they wonder why I'm not as slim as I was three years ago!

I feel your pain. There is nothing more tedious or awful to me than filling out applications. Seriously, I'd rather sit at the DMV, and that's saying a lot.

I love having a Subway within walking distance of where I live, too. :D As well as 2 supermarkets with 50 cent candy bars. ;)

I hate Subway, but I'm hella jealous of the Dunkin Donuts. We have one near us, but it's kind of a hassle to get to it because it's right off the freeway in this really weird strip mall place...grr. I loves me some Dunkin, though.

I'm cleaning out our spare room, and man...I knew I had a lot of toys, but I'm kind of astounded at the extent of my hoarding...

^ I hate cleaning out my room, mainly because I share it with my 6 year old sister and 95% of the mess is usually hers.

I have an addiction to the Rio: The Movie soundtrack. Seriously, I've been listening to 'Take You to Rio' by Ester Dean for the past half-hour, and that's just one song. The whole thing is an addiction. :p Must....resist...urge to...dance in class...

Please someone enlighten me to what's so amazing about this Dunkin' Donuts place because, as far as I'm aware, we don't have one in this country. We don't have one where I live at any rate and I'm feeling envious =(

    Mohbit, bring me some?

Nightshade, it's basically just got really yummy breakfasts and coffee. Kinda like Starbucks, only better and not as expensive.

And Gi, I hate cleaning our apartment because it's mostly Joel's mess. The spare room, on the other hand, is all me. I should take a picture of the pile of toys I have spread across my living room right now. It's a little intense.

@Nightshade -- it's basically this super-awesome national chain where you get really awesome breakfast (their donuts are the best) and really great coffee. Definitely agree, much better than Starbucks. :)

And yeah, I hate it when someone's mess isn't mine and I have to clean it up. I know about hoarding, though -- I used to have one or two 'junk drawers' filled with old stuff I couldn't bear throwing away.

Yeah.....pictures of my sickness are on the way.

And I seriously contemplated murdering Joel when I got home from practice last night. I don't work, so I have no problem doing the bulk of the housework. However, recently it's started to become more and more frequent for me to clean the house while he's at work only to have it look like a tornado went through five minutes after he comes home. Last night, I walk in and there's a huge piece of tin foil that used to be covering a pan of brownies just lying in the middle of the floor. Move a little further, and the empty brownie pan is sitting on top of my GRE books on the couch. Really, Joel?

He couldn't put the pan in the kitchen, though, because he was the one who made dinner last night, so every open surface was covered by either food he left out or dirty dishes. Oy.

Edit: I think I just had one of the most emotionally traumatizing experiences of my life. I put a bunch of stuffed animals in the washer because they were really dusty, and I just went to switch them to the dryer. I have a little rag doll that someone made me when I was tiny...it looks like me, my parents called it my "Heather doll," I love it...and the washer ripped its head off.

Heather. PLEASE DO NOT DRY YOURSELF IN THE CLOTHES DRYER! Clearly it is a dangerous place for HSOs (Heather Shaped Objects). I am sure it can be repaired. If no one local can do it, I know people here who work magic with needles and threads. MAGIC.

In unrelated news: Why do people gotta go and keep dyin all the time? Shoose man, it sucks. Hard.

In double unrelated news: The corn at Urban Taco is unreal. Order it right now, all of you.

I talked to my mom about it, and she said if I can't figure out how to sew it back on, I can bring it to her the next time we're in AZ and she'll fix it. Hooray!

Kyle, you need to stop murdering people you know, I think...isn't that like four this month?? Sad. :(

And dude...what the hell is Urban Taco?

Urban taco is an upscale taco joint (I know, right?) I decided to give it a try, and it really surprised me. Good stuff.

Yep, 4 funerals in 2 months. Careful everyone, it's a dangerous time to know me.

This is just a feeler... Anyone down for Critique Week #2? I'm kinda thinking about doing it in June.

I blogged about it last year. Basically a week long initiative designed to get people into the review rooms and out of their comfort zones. It's fun stuff and (heaven forbid) will make you a better writer.
